This restaurant was located in a neighborhood area, with limited roadside parking, but there is a lot of parking available if you are okay to park along the road.

We parked the car on the road just beside the restaurant on a Wednesday afternoon for about an hour, and it was quite safe, so I think it would be fine to park as per my suggestion.

First impressions of the restaurant is that it is quite small and cosy, with only one big table for groups larger than six pax in the middle of the restaurant near the door. The other tables suit up to 4 pax, with 5 pax being the limit. However, there was sufficient space to move around and the tables were placed a comfortable distance from each other.

The service was good and attentive, and the food came really fast after we ordered even though it was a fairly busy afternoon. The food itself was definitely the star of the entire experience. It was fresh, hot, well-cooked, and the portion size was VERY proportionate to the price paid, which was very cheap and worth the money. I would go as far as to say that the food in this restaurant is very delicious, and the best I have tasted so far, even beating the restaurants in KL in terms of Chinese chu zhar food.

Overall, the whole experience with the restaurant and the food itself is outstanding, with no cons or negative feedback that I can provide. I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a good delicious meal with a very...

This was our first visit to the Clay Pot, we have visited Malaysia, Penang for the 3rd consecutive year and didn't know it existed. The welcoming from the owners was friendly and polite. The dining area was very clean and in a lovely condition. We ordered the following dishes. Sweet and sour chicken, Curried Beef, ginger Chicken, Fried rice and Fried Noodles. All was served very quickly indeed. The quality of all the dishes was superb, all the ingredients could be tasted and it was all cooked to perfection and presented on our table neatly. Myself, my wife and our 2 close friends will certainly be returning to The Clay Pot restaurant very soon. The cost of our dishes and drinks for 4 adults was very good and I'm pleased to say we all left feeling fully satisfied. I have to rate The Clay Pot 10/10 in all aspects and highly recommend a visit. Well done to the owners and staff you certainly done an...

We are in Batu Ferringhi for five nights and can I just say, few locals travel specifically to dine in the area unless they are headed to a hotel for a special occasion. Fed-up of the “nothing special” stalls, we headed to the Tanjung Bungah locality, 15 minutes away.

We had an early 6:00 pm dinner to avoid the regular crowd. The claypot aubergine 🍆 and mince pork (RM12.00, small) had smoky/charred notes and was absolutely delicious. The claypot fish and okra curry was the more expensive item on the menu. For RM30, perhaps I was expecting slightly more fish and okra but otherwise, great flavour. The Taufoo (RM9) was ok. Balanced salt levels in the dishes we ordered. It is cash only but pricing is reasonable.

Though drinks are standard and Nutmeg juice — nondescript, dinner was worth...
