Sundanese Food (West Java) Part 1: 🔷 Nasi Bakar Ikan (grill rice in banana leaf wrap w/ fish topping) Fresh fish on grill rice, good with Sambal on side dish. Add on some various crackers from Opak to Skin crackers, nampol! 🔷 Nasi Bakar Cumi Pete (grill rice w/ mini squid and stinky beans) This one is Juara ! The winner, rice so fragrant, Sambal inside mix with Petai n squid so good! 🔷 Fried Chicken; so crispy but succulent inside, tasty too. Quite big size 🔷 Pecel; delicious peanut sauce on it, various boiled vegetables, fried tempe and tofu, boiled egg and some ketupat. I love the sauce. 🔷 Karedok; mini chunck of raw long bean, cucumber, kemangi and tauge drizzled with another peanut sauce, Sunda way. 🔷 Fried Chicken, big size, crispy but succulent inside, tasty too. 🔷 Set of Nasi Bakar & Sate Lilit (fish) served with Sambal matah (Bali style). For set, nasi bakar with small bilis inside. 🔷 Set of Nasi Bakar & Ayam Bakar (grill chicken); succulent meat and sweet soya & spices marinated chicken. 🔷 Bala-bala/Bakwan Sayur; vegetables fritters, thin but crispy and delicious spice in it. 🔷 Mie Ayam Asin & Manis; good noodles with soya or sweet soya, topping with boiled caisim, shredded boiled chicken and fried shallot. Must try. 🔷 Rujak; very nice sauce (Sambal rujak) with big slices of rose apple (Jambu air), pineapple, jicama (mengkuang), papaya and Kedondong (ampla) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ All good food, authentic Sunda cooking, big portion, delishhh. Karedok & Pecel is with very good sauce and fresh vegetables, my favourite dishes. My best choice is Nasi Bakar Cumi, so good and succulent squid. Part 2 review is coming soon. Read moreI would give 0 star if possible. The worse restaurant. The reasons are:
We pay 10 % service charge but we have to order & collect food at the counter. Even fast food restaurants like KFC served customers better Food presentation is very bad. They use plastic plates, plastic utensils. Even regular food court use real plates, stainless steel utensils. Regular mee goreng ayam priced at RM 13. What a joke. Staffs are not friendly, not welcoming. They even eating while preparing food. Table not properly cleaned, even have crumbs on the table. The place not full n yet staffs don't have time to clean the table. They just chit chat n using phone.
The real question is WHY USE PLASTIC PLATES & PLASTIC UTENSILS? we're not picnic at the beach. Just use proper plates, food presentation is the worst.

Read moreOn June 1st, 2023, we arrived at the shop at 9pm, assuming it would close at 10pm. To my surprise, I discovered that they actually closed at 9:30pm. Feeling remorseful, I approached the staff and asked if it was still possible for us to dine in. The staff kindly welcomed us and assured us that it was alright. We quickly placed our order and ate hastily out of consideration for the staff who had to wait for us before they could leave. Unfortunately, due to the rush, I even forgot to take any pictures 😂. To the staff who accommodated us that night near closing time, I want to express my gratitude. Thank you for still smiling and deliver our food with cheerfulness. You have the best attitude! We thoroughly enjoyed the food, even though we can't recall the names of the...
