Ordered Nasi Khao Mok, Nasi Ayam Bakar and Tomyam Tom Kha.
Nasi Khao Mok's rice was good, but the fried chicken was slightly over-fried for my personal preference. Colour was dark brown and outer part of chicken was a bit tough. But the inside part of the chicken which was not tough, was delicious.
Nasi Ayam Bakar's white rice was slightly dry/hard for my personal liking, but the chicken was pleasantly seasoned and grilled. However, the underside of the chicken was heavily charred, which gave a bitter taste if eaten.
The Tomyam Tom Kha was slightly disappointing. The tomyum taste was not that strong. The waiter said the broth is using coconut milk, but it is very light (not as creamy as expected). The protein inside was decently portioned. There were prawns as well chicken and squid pieces, so that was nice.
Service was good, staffs were quick to seat us to our table and clean used tables. The waiter that took our order had trouble explaining the menu differences, but we got the gist of it. The orders were prepared quickly enough. Both rice dish also came with a bowl of plain soup, so that was nice.
The restaurant was clean, and tables were well-spaced so it is not cramped-up.
Maybe we will stop by another time to try out other menus, since this time we were slightly disappointed...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went there last night for supper around 12.30. Restaurant is okay, clean and proper, i would say it was comfortable. Have some tables outside also at the open air and lots of tables inside the restaurant since it is a corner lot. Menu is good, they have some packages or sets for family (2-6pax). Can pay cash, or also via QR. Food was good and quite fast honestly. The best part, it was not pre-cooked like other tomyam style restaurants. My Nasi Goreng Bangkok was hot and flavorful. My wife ordered Telur Bungkus also was full with chickens and gravy. The best part that I also wanted to highlight here is their honesty. I went back to the hotel and than realized that my wife left her handbag there. I called and they confirmed that the handbag was there and they kept it for me. I went there around 2am (restaurant closed already) and some their staffs were doing closing cleaning. They handed me the handbag and I offered some cash as appreciation, however they politely declined even I insisted. Truly appreciate the kind gesture, for me that's the most important and hard to get value in doing business nowadays. Again, thanks for me and my family. Will definitely visit agaim on our next trip...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreš£ Just like the name says, this spot is actually the main branch of the one in Georgetown. Itās the perfect place to go when youāre really hungry and donāt feel like waiting aroundābecause the service here is fast. Thereās both indoor and outdoor seating, with tables set under big, shady trees.
š£ At night, the lights around the place are turned on, giving the whole dining experience a cozy, different vibe.
š£ I once tried the grilled meat here, but unfortunately, it was pretty tough and hard to chewāwhich was a bit of a letdown. That said, the tom yum was absolutely delicious! I forgot the exact name of the dish, but it looked a lot like boat noodles. Iām a big fan of boat noodles, but here they made it a little too sour and didnāt add any chili. Still tasty, though! I just think it wouldāve been even better with a bit of chili, haha.
š£ Looks like weāll need to come back and try out more of the...
