Grandma’s Home Food — Restaurant in George Town

Like the chinese style food here.

Last time this shop used to name "small potato". After that they have renovation and a new name. This is the first time i came since the new name established. It is good to have a nice restaurant walking distance from where i live. The interior and exterior have nice decoration. the space is bright and clean. there are outdoor and indoor seating available. Some car parks available at front too.

The food we ordered was nice. The dumpling we have is nice too. One thing is their drink came at about 85% full, it will be nice if we can have drink that is fill the whole glass.

This is a good place to dine, and they have free filter water too, similar to other shop selling dessert. There are corner where we can get soya sauce, vinegar, chilis and other seasoning too. This is very good as we they are important when having dumpling.

We really love this shop using a traditional way of ordering with paper and with physical menu. (Personally i still dislike those shop with scan-QR-to-order system, so much inconvenient, and no human touch)

Overall this is a nice place to eat, i will definitely come back to try some other food...

Our 1st visit to this small, unassuming eatery. It's situated along a row of terraced houses in a fairly old neighborhood. Once inside, it appears to be rather cozy with several small sized tables and 1 large round table surrounded by cute paraphernalia. We were early, so didn't have to wait for our food. The dishes were tasty with the right amount of spiciness and flavours! The desserts were cool and soothing on our palate. I don't remember all the names of the dishes /desserts but I do remember that everyone enjoyed the Shanghai style cuisine...

Seriously, don't be duped by the reviews.

The reason this cafe scored 4.8/5 is largely due to the fact that diners enjoy a 5% discount off their bill for rating this 5-star.

The truth is, the food aren't only expensive but tasted just average. I kid you not; come and try for yourselves if you're unconvinced.
