If i can rate this place, i would give 0. Since from e-gate times, their service was never at par with what those people had reviewed on google. We planned to give them another chance at their new place at Bayan Baru, unfortunately our Christmas dinner turned out to be a nightmare! We order each a main meal, a starter, 2 drinks and a dessert. We were told it would took us awhile before our food was being served. So, we said ok. We wait. What made us so mad was, after 1 hour later, they just served us our starter (bruschetta) and we reminded the server 3x about our drinks! After 20 mins gone by, thats 1 hr and 20 mins, the drinks did not come. Our mains did not either. So we went up to the counter and complained. To my horror, all the aunties were behind the counter trying to avoid being blamed.None came forward to apologize for the delay or for their lack of attention. What was worse that the auntie in spec (the cashier), charged me for all the food which we ordered! We told her to charge what was on the table and she charged us for the food that never came. Terrible service. No sense of responsibility, no sense of remorse .They think we are dying for their food. Oh pls! Your restaurant doesn't deserve good praises. Since years ago, this restaurant was ran by all incapable aunties and weak cooks that can't even cook fast enough to cater to their customers. FOr years, never got any improvement.
To those who wants your occasion to be spoilt, go by all means. They may be good on low seasons. But never when they are many customers. They just can't...
Read moreThe restaurant has a warm, elegant atmosphere with a modern Italian touch. The interior features dark-toned walls, and gold accents with a minimalistic design, creating a sophisticated but inviting vibe. The lighting is soft and ambient, perfect for a relaxed dining experience. The dish served is Fettuccine Alfredo, topped generously with juicy slices of grilled steak. The fettuccine is coated in a creamy, rich Alfredo sauce, accompanied by sautéed mushroooms. We also tried the fish Meuniere, the fish is panfried, nice crispy skin, the meat is soft and flaky. The french fries are sweet and crispy. But they were being too generous with the olive oil. (Don't get me wrong, they smell great, just felt like too much oil was drizzled on there). The Margherita pizza we had is classic and beautifully done. It has a thin, crispy, slightly charred crust. The cheese has that perfect gooey melt with some golden bubbly spots, and the tomatoes add a fresh, juicy pop with every bite. The food is reasonably priced, considering the warm and cozy environment as well as the good food.
Overall the ambience was perfect, we enjoy our food very much. It was a 5/5...
Read moreHad dinner at Elmondo today, and unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. The food was quite mediocre, lacking the authentic flavors and quality I had hoped for. The ambience was also disappointing, with a lackluster atmosphere that did not set the right mood for a pleasant meal. To make matters worse, the service was subpar, with slow and inattentive staff. The restroom was not clean, which was disappointing, considering the price I paid for my meal. Clean and well-maintained facilities are an essential part of any dining experience, and in this regard, Elmondo fell short of expectations. It's an aspect the restaurant should definitely address to provide better value for its customers. Overall, I wouldn't recommend Elmondo if you're looking for a memorable Italian...
