Tucked away in a quiet corner, Veeloo Villas offers a charming and flavourful dining experience for anyone who appreciates authentic Indian cuisine. I recently visited this restaurant for the first time with a friend, and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and the comforting ambiance.
We started off with their signature briyani rice, and it was absolutely delightful — served hot, aromatic, and savoury, infused with a blend of Indian herbs and spices that brought each bite to life. The rice was fluffy and well-cooked, neither greasy nor overly salty, which made it enjoyable to savour on its own or with sides.
What stood out was their impressive range of vegetarian dishes. From cauliflower and cabbage to tofu, spinach, and dhal curry, the variety was both satisfying and flavourful. Each vegetable dish had its own distinct taste and seasoning, showing thoughtful preparation. The dhal curry especially paired beautifully with the briyani, adding a mild, comforting touch.
Although I didn’t try the meat options this time, they are available for those who prefer a non-vegetarian selection. To round off the meal, I had their masala tea — warm, lightly spiced, and refreshing, it was the perfect end to the meal.
Overall, Veeloo Villas delivered a delicious and wholesome vegetarian experience. The food quality, reasonable spice levels, and welcoming service make it a place I’d gladly return to. Looking forward to my next visit — hopefully to try the meat...
Read moreI honestly can’t believe what just happened. I’m writing this review to warn others please be alert when dealing with this place! The way they charge customers is just ridiculous. Every day, the price changes for the same items. It’s confusing, inconsistent, and honestly feels like they’re just trying to squeeze as much money out of you as possible.
What shocked me the most was that they even charged for sugar and not even a reasonable amount! It was such a tiny bit, barely noticeable, yet they still had the audacity to add it to the bill. That just feels so petty and unfair.
And on top of that, the attitude we got was really disappointing. Instead of explaining or being understanding, they acted like we were the ones in the wrong giving us looks like we had made some huge mistake. It just felt really disrespectful and unprofessional.
People deserve better service and transparency. This whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth, and I just want others to be aware before...
Read moreWhen I have a craving for Indian food especially banana leaf rice, this is my go to place around Bayan Lepas area. The other 2 places I like will be Inira and Sri Ananda Bahwan but let us not talk about those 2 places.
The food here is good and you will get quite plenty of choices too. I haven't really got the chance to visit this place for a long time due to MCO but managed to go for my breakfast today. Ordered Tosai Masala and it was pretty good.
The reason I rate this place as 4 stars is because the food in general is good but then again if you look at each specific individual food, there will be somewhere else nicer. Example for Tosai, I prefer Kayu and for banana leaf rice, if I don't mind driving far I will go for Sri Ananda Bahwan. But like I said, this place Veloo Villas works if you have cravings for Indian food and you can't really...
