Disappointing Experience Due to Poor Service and System Issues
I recently visited this restaurant for the first time, and my experience was far from satisfactory.
Firstly, when we tried to order, the waitress informed us that we had to use a QR code to place our order. We complied, but the process was frustrating. I experienced delays while placing my order, likely due to poor internet connectivity, and I had to wait without refreshing or making changes.
When the order arrived, the waitress simply handed us the plates without confirming what we had ordered. My friend, who wasn’t familiar with how her order should look, unknowingly accepted the wrong dish. We were confused when both plates looked the same, and later, another drink was brought to the table, which led me to realize that my order had been duplicated.
After discussing the issue with the staff, they only offered me a free drink as compensation, while I had to pay for the duplicate food with a mere 10% discount.
I find this unacceptable for several reasons: The restaurant did not provide a stable internet connection, which likely caused the issue in the first place. The waitress failed to confirm our order when serving, leading to unnecessary confusion. The ordering system lacks transparency, as we had no visibility into what was being processed.
I am deeply disappointed that I had to bear the cost of your restaurant’s incompetence. This is not how a customer...
Read moreIt was one of the worst lunch experience i have ever had. My friends and I was there around 1PM. Understood it was packed so we are okay to wait for the menu. When we asked for menu, we were informed that they are short of menu for us look at, so we waited again. So we finally able to place order at 1.12 PM. We were just waiting, no drinks were served. At around 1.34 PM, we were told that ALL the rice dishes were sold out. Was annoyed that it took them around 20 minutes to tell us that rice is sold out. Then we changed the rice dish to noodle. Then finally some drinks arrived. What tick us off is the amount of time needed to make a cup of Milo. It was not served to us until we ask about the Milo and that was almost 2 pm. And when all the others are done with our food, the dish that we changed from rice to noodle was still not here. When we asked where is the noodle, they actually told us that the noodle was not even PREPARED. Had to cancel that order and paid for the rest and leave. The staff did not even APOLOGIZE for this terrible experience that we had. It's UNBELIEVABLE. I would kindly advise not go to this place unless you are up for the terrible dining experience.
This is probably my first and my last time going to this place with such 'speedy' and...
Read moreI used to go to the original birthplace of Golden Bowl somewhere near Batu Lanchang area and enjoy a bowl of their specialty maggi mee curry and a nice cup of milo dinosaur. But I can see now that they have expanded to a big restaurant located at Promenade here.
Food is still pretty good although not great. Tried the breakfast set, the typical bread toast and half boiled egg set and it was ok and not bad at all. I think there is something special which I recalled, like the toast bread having both kaya and peanut butter spread, which I don't normally see this being offered.
For lunch, I tried the western set and it was ok too. Tried the best seller and I got a fried chicken with cheese, ham and tomato toppings with potato wedges. The fried chicken was a bit oily but other than that it was good.
Now the drinks here is kinda special a bit. You can try the Hor Ka Sai (milo mixed with coffee?) or Yin Yang (milk tea mixed with coffee).
In summary, is it worth trying? Yes. Is there anything offered here is very good and like very special and nice? I guess no for now. Will definitely come back again to try the other items offered in...
