Went on a friend's recommendation. We were pleasantly surprised!
The beef broth takes me back to when I was eating Lanzhou Lamian in China. The taste was so similar, that after the first sip of the broth, I knew I was going to enjoy the meal. The beef slices were also very tender, and the noodle were perfectly textured for my liking. However, I felt like the portion was slightly small, or maybe because it was so good that I did not realized I already eaten half of it 😜. If you like spicy, then adding the chilli oil into this dish makes it even better.
We also ordered the Beef Dumpling Soup. This dish was also very delicious, with the same beefy broth. The dumplings were generously portioned and well seasoned. Not sure why but they put the chilli oil on this dish from the kitchen. Should have let us put it ourselves (my wife had to scoop out the spicy oil).
The service from the staff were quick and friendly. We ordered from the QR code on the table (but you must register your phone to order). Our orders came very quickly.
The restaurant was very clean, and tables were widely spaced so it does not feel cramped at all. The decorations were on the simpler side (nothing wrong with that, but could be better). Toilet and Surau also available for customers, which are decently cleaned.
Definitely will come again to try other dishes...
Read moreThis is more catered and tweaked to suit local Malay taste buds. Tried the 红烧牛肉面 braised beef noodle. Somehow it was underwhelming.
红烧require the soup to be shiny red color. Not just the beef. When the noodle was served, the soup was the same as normal 牛肉面 beef noodle.
Soup for the noodle should be served with a few slices of white radish. It is core ingredient in making the soup and serving.
The soup was very SALTY. Too much salt.
Noodle was a tad overcooked. Noodle should have 嚼劲 chewy texture. Does not feel like hand pulled and more like pre-made.
No vinegar on table. No chopstick as first choice cutlery.
The whole bowl of noodle is kind of an orchestra. One missing part and it is just not right.
I have lived in China for quite number of years. Had countless 牛肉面 beef noodles from north to south, east and west of the land. I am very familiar with 新疆...
Read moreI’ve bought from here several times for takeaway, n the food has always been really delicious, especially the braised beef noodles. However, I was quite disappointed during my first dine-in experience recently. One of the staff who served our drinks got upset just because we changed tables. It was a small matter, but his bad attitude really spoiled mood. All the other staff, including the foreign workers, were polite and friendly, only that uncle behaved unprofessionally. Please advise him to be more tolerant towards customers. We pay for our meals, we’re not asking for free food. Hope can improve the...
