PLEASE DON'T COME HERE IF YOU EXPECT A PLEASANT MEAL - TRUST THE 1 STAR REVIEWS
Came here around 7+PM, placed an order. Food was served relatively fast but the charcoal fire was not hot enough to heat up the pot. We waited more then 30 mins until we give up - 8.35PM.
We had 2 main waitresses serving us, waitress A was rude. Waitress B - it was an aunty, was friendly and helpful.
Told waitress A that the soup was not boiling, she asked us to put the item in and she will bring a fan. But she didn't bring the fan so we had to inform waitress B about the issue. She was helful enough to change the charcoal for us. Sadly that only lasted for 15 mins. We had to inform the waitress again and show them the charcoal is no longer heating up. That's when they bring the gas over.
While waiting for the pot to heat up, waitress A told us to help give a good review on their FB, but at this point we didn't even start eating the hotpot. Maybe that's how they get good reviews online. Before she leave, she told us to inform her if any of the food have problem - please remember this.
The abalone was not fresh, the scallop was clearly not fresh too. We didn't touch those item since we didn't want any compensation anyway. So when waitress A returned, we told her the abalone and scallop had issues, but we don't need anything in return, we are just giving the feedback. To be exact, we told her the abalone was fishy. So she brought it up and started smelling it, telling us it's okay, and asked us to smell it??? Hello, you ask for feedback so we telling you the issue now. We also clearly stated that we don't need anything in return we are just telling you what we feel. What are you trying to proof when you ask us to smell it?
When waitress B came back to collect the plates after the meal she saw our abalone was not touched, so she asked us why. We told her it was not fresh. Then waitress A came back asking us to proof that the abalone was fishy, "like what you mean by fishy". Idk what she want at this point. We already paid the bill by then and we didn't ask for anything in return so what you want?!
While we were leaving, the other waitresses behind the counter was clearly talking about us and they kept looking at us while talking. Honestly, this is not what you would expect when you are paying for 600RM!
1 star given for the waitress B aunty, she was friendly enough and the view compensate for the bad experience.
To add on, like what others were saying, they didn't mention anything about the deposit. I hope...
Read moreWe booked and sat in one of their domes, which requires a spending of RM600. No doubt the place is instagrammable. Scenic and unique. Surprisingly the dome didn’t feel stuffy because there was a strong portable fan inside. Now when you are basically spending RM600 on hotpot you would expect a service of an equivalent standard. It is difficult not to make a comparison to Haidilao when it comes to hotpot, especially their service. The waiters/waitresses are friendly but the place is understaffed. The Kitchen and the outdoor dome areas are quite a distance and they only have 1 or 2 staffs in charge or serving the outdoor domes and tables, which is really a stretch. We had to ask a few times before water and tissues would be served. I can see that they are working hard but there is only that much one person can do and in the end the restaurant just failed to deliver the service expected. They charge RM5 for the sauce and ice cream bar, which is reasonable but the bar is always out of sauces (demand was faster than supply) and the sesame sauce was unavailable because their kitchen understocked. There is no menu so you have to order through a QR code. The sistem was faulty, because we werent’s allowed to use the same QR code to make additional orders, they have to issue us with a new QR code. All of these are mostly management issues. So the bosses have to sit down and figure this out.
Food and taste wise, quality and price was alright quite standard. But you only get to choose only 1 soup base out of the 3 flavours so the choices are quite limited. They also heat up the pot with charcoal, so towards the end when the charcoal burnt out, the food took longer to cook.
Overall, it’s still a nice place to dine with good ambience (except that there was a lady doing live broadcast asking for likes and views so it was a bit noisy, and she was running around filming all the domes) if you want to take nice pictures and experience dining in a dome this is a right place to visit but if you just want to have good hotpot, there are many other choices out there. Personally I won’t come back again for hotpot, for a...
Read moreIt advertised as hotpot under the stars (星空露天火锅). We thought we have booked a bubble to enjoy the dinner in a bubble. It turns out majority of the dining area is NOT under the stars!! It is only very limited and you have to request explicitly in the booking! Surely the advertised photos were very misleading. It did not show the indoor seating at all! That was a bad start. Then they serve the wrong soup base. 20mins into the dinner time, when the ingredients are ready to eat, we realised one of them is spicy when we ordered tomato! Imagine we have to start all over again. That was a sign of worse is coming.
Even though they tried to make up their mistake by improving their service, and we try to forgive the unhappy encounter and move on to have a happy family dinner. When we are about to pay the bill, we noticed something was not ticked and we asked. It turned out they totally missed part of our items in the dinner set and they missed the most expensive set!! We did not have to eat that much noodle if we know they are serving abalone, more vegetables, prawn and different fishes dish…. 🤦🏻♀️
The disappointment is certainly incomprehensible. So think twice if you want to eat there, things may go south if you are not alert and you may end up left felt being ripped off or upset like us.
One extra star for trying but the service and food quality is...
