Super Crab Best Seafood Restaurant — Restaurant in George Town

I know today is Father's day, so your restaurant is very busy. Hence I skip the busiest dinner time and arrive your restaurant at 8.15pm. When my family and I walk into the restaurant. No one come to serve us. Nvm, we can explore ourself. Then we also understand that you guys just finish a BIG WAR, so you have no time to clean up the tables for us. Nvm, I can wait. Finally, table is ready and got some one notice us and come to take our order (actually already raise hand few times). After order the food, it was 8.40pm. OK, let's pray the food will come faster cause we are starving. While waiting, I can see that your restaurant only occupied about 70% and most of the table are almost finishing their dinner. So I think that our food should be otw cooking. Guess what, it is wrong. The 1st order come in around 9.15pm and it is the lala mee hoon. Taste normal. It was highly recommended by your staff. Maybe too high expectation. Then the next dish is Onion egg. Ok, taste as normal too. 3rd dish, we order salted egg fried squid. But the one that come to us is just a normal fried squid. You say the kitchen out of salted egg but you will ask the cashier later give us the discount. Fine, since my hubby like squid so much. We take it. Then we wait again...5 minutes...10 minutes...15 minutes...nothing come. Raise our hand to get your guys attention but failed. No one bother us again. Finally, 1 aunty come. We say our dishes not complete yet. She say she go check, but never come back. Finally, the boss notice us, and tell us the Kitchen is preparing. But what I can see is, there is no one cooking in the kitchen bacause I can see when your staff go in and out in the kitchen. Then, you come with a stir friend Kailan which we never order! You say the kitchen do wrong again, so just take this dish which you are not going to charge us....Honestly, if you do not have the dishes that we order. You can always come to us and inform us, so that we change our order to something else. Not like simply give us a dishes that maybe you cook for someone but the someone dont want and pass to us. Please be reminded that we are also the customer of your restaurant. We might wear a bit too casual today with just T- Shirt (sorry, might got some holes), short pants and slippers. But it does not mean that we have no money to pay you! We are not beggars!!!! I know that today you got a lot of big business which a lot of family come with a big group to spent in your restaurant. So a small family like us, you actually dont bother. Although we are just 3 of us, but spending a few hundred ringgit meal it is still acceptable by us if you are serving a good service and good food!!! But so sorry that today your restaurant does not deserve this. Poor service, normal food with high price, force customer to take the food they dont like and did not order. And, pls dont think that give free meal to me can stop me posting negative comment in your fb. I will still pay whatever I ordered. Please also take note that you should follow the gov SOP on the 1m social distant. I know that now 1 table can sit 10 ppl but the 10 ppl that sit on the same table still need to have the 1m social distant. Local seafood restaurants intro by family members. Tonight we decided to dine here for simple dishes. Here’s what we tried :

Golden Tofu Rm 18 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tofu about the size of my palm with generous golden egg gravy and vege on top. We quite love this simple dish.

Stir Fry Four Kings Vege with Belacan Sambal (Big) Rm 26 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Big portion, consist of okra, petai, eggplant, long beans and onions. Well balanced not too spicy.

Qing Long Chai Royal Chives Rm 20 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Light simple dish stir fry with bit of bean sprouts and onions.

Marmite Chicken (Big) Rm 32 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Deep fried super crispy chicken bites with yummy marmite sauce and sprinkle bit of sesame seeds on top. The chicken not dry and the crispiness is the highlight of this dish!

Signature Steamed Fish (Jade Perch Fish) Rm 10/100g Rm 112.80 ⭐️ The sauce not fragrant enough, the fish meat has strong chemical taste to it close to those hawker stall used Dory Fish kind. Basically don’t pick this fish if you’re afraid of chemical taste. The price I don’t really feed worth it with the size of the fish.

Thai Style Prawn x 8pcs Rm 56 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ This dish recommended by the staff, it’s not in their standard menu. The sauce were alright.

Chicken Essence Frog x 2pcs Rm 22.50 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The chicken essence part pretty tasteless to me maybe other stronger dish already overcome my tastebuds. The frog were cooked nicely without being overcooked or end up rubbery.

Onion Omelette (Big) Rm 22 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ It is a bit pricey considering how many eggs only being used on this dish however it is well done. The omelette not too oily and the onions were quite fragrant.

All in all we quite enjoyed our dinner tonight although the dishes we tried were pretty decent and nothing much to shout. Our favorite among all is the Marmite Chicken. The staff were friendly...

Had a wonderful dinner at Super Crab in the CNY period with my parents and aunt. Total 5 of us and we ordered

2 Chilli Crab 2 Baked Crab 2 Golden Pillow Bun 2 Passion fruit drink (1.5 liter bottle) 1 Baby Kai lan small 1 Scalding baby octopus small 1 lala bee hoon small

Food is tasty generally.

Must try the Chilli Crab, Salt baked Crab (for those who dont like messy hands), Golden Pillow Bun and Lala Bee Hoon... Flavourful.

Passion Fruit drink is a must try too.

I wrongly ordered the scalding baby octopus which is has no taste and very chewy (not for elderly people who struggle with chewing)... Not the restaurants fault just my own mistake in ordering it.

Prices are reasonable plus the Crabs are Super Fresh. The boss did said if crabs are not fresh we may ask for a refund.

Highly recommended if you love crabs.
