I highly recommend this place for their soybean drink and soybean pudding dessert (also known as dou fu hua, dou hua, tau fu fah). You have the option of plain sugar or palm sugar syrup when ordering the soybean drink and pudding, and I always go for the palm sugar as the fragrance from the palm sugar compliments them perfectly. I also love adding grass jelly to the soybean drink (it's the OG boba tea concept before boba tea came along), and it's fantastic on a hot afternoon. The soybean pudding's texture is neither too hard or too soft, and very smooth.

Ran by a family, everything is made fresh daily, and the place looks neat and clean from the serving area to the tables and chairs that are wiped down after every customer. I believe the wife is from Vietnam, and they offer simple Vietnamese spring rolls as well as some Vietnamese staple food items on their shelves (coffee, rice paper wraps, cashews, etc). The shopkeeper lady in front of counter is the best. I was lightheadedness due to work exhaustion, and came here with Google map because i crave for some tau foo fah (u know la after work crave). I bought 1 tau foo fah, 1 soya drink, and their vietnamese roll. The shopkeeper lady was so nice she give me 1 more soya drink, maybe i was showing "blank face". I come all the way from KL, after eat at Genting I go tapao tau foo fah & soy milk. After many years I still come back.

Smooth tau foo fah , generous portion till container is full and sweet brown sugar. Only one feedback tau foo fah got some water in container because when scoop it mix everything so u need to pour away water before adding sugar syrup.

Also good for tourist they sell local biscuits & snacks however those are made in ipoh . I was looking for local penang...
