12-04-2024 : Still a very popular restaurant. Their Egg Bomb is fantastic and highly recommended. Able to prepare the Egg Bomb with crispy outer coat and "runny egg yolks" in the middle. Prices had inevitably increased but still very competitive.
18-07-2024 : Had a nice dinner here. The Asam Fish never failed me. Highly recommend to try.out the Asam Fish. Both Prawn Sambal and Squid Sambal are fantastic. Don't miss out on these two dishes. For Otak lovers, the restaurant serves great Otak Otak too

A restaurant to savour home-cooked style favourites.
Interior layout is organised, pleasant and immaculate while the decor theme adorned with replica lanterns and popular menu pictures.
Assam dishes are their signature attraction here. Fried flat fish (sole) is something unique and recommended...and similarly too, are their Chinese bbq meats. Overall, the quality of food served here deserves complimentary mention.
They also serve dim sum, kaya butter toast, packet nasi lemak and soft boiled eggs for breakfast. Strange as it may sound...but it is, what it is.
Do try this place out when you are in Malacca. The restaurant is usually busy during peak hours and table reservations...

I brought my parents here to enjoy some seafood dishes, as we've been loyal customers since their days at Melaka Raya. While we were excited to revisit, this experience fell a bit short of our expectations. Here’s what we ordered: . Curry Fish Not bad, with a decent balance of flavors. . Sambal Sotong Prawn Unfortunately, this dish arrived cold, which took away from the overall enjoyment. . Fried Fish It was alright, but it wasn’t served hot enough to fully appreciate the dish. . Asam Boi & Herbal Jelly These were fine, nothing extraordinary. . I understand that peak hours can strain the staff, but service and food quality should remain consistent. While we appreciate their past, it’s important that they step up in these areas. Excuses aside, we hope to see improvements on our next visit. . .
