Sometimes, you just want a simple, no-frills meal, but with good food nevertheless. This place fits the bill. The main items are nasi lemak, mee siam and mee goreng. The extras you can order are sambal prawns, sambal sotong (the rehydrated type, which happens to be my favourite), fried chicken, and another chicken dish (either rendang or curry; not sure which because we didn't order it). The steamed nasi lemak is fragrant, fluffy, and well-flavoured. Comes with kangkung, a Malacca thing. Mee goreng and mee siam were not cooked upon order, but still tasted fresh. Each plate of noodles is served with a fried egg and some sambal. A tangy, thin gravy is ladled over the mee siam. Makes it even more appetising. It looks like the mee goreng has been fried with savoury sambal. We asked for sambal sotong and got a pretty good portion. Went well with the nasi lemak and the noodles. Then again, It's hard for me to resist this type of sotong, as long as it is soft and flavourful. I don't usually go for chicken these days because it can be really off-putting if not fresh. Their nasi lemak is very good. They use steamed rice (nasi kukus) instead of the usual boiled rice. The coconut fragrance steamed rice is great. The nasi lemak sambal is nice. They serve with the usual sambal prawn, sambal squid, sambal cuttlefish rendang chicken or fried chicken selections.
Their drink selections are the usual coffee shop selections.
Their prices are reasonable.
Service is reasonable and waiting time is short.
Cleanliness is acceptable.
Wheel chair bound customers may be able to patronise with slight difficult.
Car parkings are roadside parkings and is easily available.
