Affordable Prices, Mixed Feelings on the Food The prices here are definitely budget-friendly, and the portions were just right for two people.
Here’s what we tried: -Spicy & Sour Shredded Potatoes Unfortunately, it lacked both the sourness and the spiciness you’d expect from this dish. However, the shredded potatoes were crisp and refreshing, which was a plus.
-Country-Style Stir-Fried Pork This dish had a nice wok aroma and tender pork, but it was very oily. The green peppers were soaked in oil, making it a bit heavy. That said, it paired well with rice.
-Boiled Sliced Pork in Spicy Soup The soup and meat were both quite salty. While the portion was generous and the pork tender, the overpowering saltiness made it hard to enjoy fully. It included bean sprouts, black ear mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, and pork slices.
-Garlic Pork Slices At this price, I wasn’t expecting a lot of meat, but the presentation was a bit misleading. Only 7–8 thin slices of pork were laid over a bed of cucumber, giving the illusion of a full bowl. The cucumber had absorbed a lot of chili oil, which made it less refreshing than expected.
-Grilled Sausage This was decent. It was juicy and flavorful, though be careful when biting into it—as it can be quite hot inside.
-White Rice Surprisingly, this was my favorite. The rice was sticky and had a nice texture. We saw others helping themselves to refills the rice and were told it was free, we even double confirm with the staff is the rice for free refill and the staff replied us Ya/Yes. But we were charged in the end. It wasn’t a big deal, but a bit confusing.
Overall for me, I think that If you’re curious to try something new or looking for Chinese food on a budget, this place is okay. But for me, it’s a one-time visit. The food didn’t quite meet my expectations, but the price point may make it...
Read moreWhen we come in they invited us to go sit on a table of 4 with my son 1 year old sit beside us. The spacing between the table is very small at the side part. I had cleaned the baby chair and table, and we all sit down nicely and are discussing which dishes to order then suddenly one of the chinese waiter come and ask can we switched to another table so that they can accommodate another group of customer of 7. Hello?! If you already assigned us to sit on the assigned place then you should figure out yourself where to find the table for your another group of customer instead simply asking another group customer with a small baby somemore to move to another table. You think is easy to bring the baby around? Fine. We had ordered our dish come out 2 dishes, then another dish 手撕包菜was like taking forever to come out as we already finished our rice with the 1st 2 dishes so we asked them to cancel the 手撕包菜. So they take the bill and ammend it, luckily I checked back the bill, guess what they cancel the 手撕包菜 which cost RM 18+ but add one more dishes at the end of bill which cost RM 31+. What is this? Foods otherwise are very salty. One bowl of rice which are very small portion compare to other better same style restaurants cost us RM 2.50. Poor service ever! Definitely will not...
