Found this place on XiaoHongShu but was a bit hesitant after having read one of the reviews about the diaper change. Decided to give it a go anyways and we did NOT regret.
Ordered: Banana cake Goreng Pisang Snowy Polo bun Hokkien Mee Eggs & Toast Bread with egg Egg Tart Curry Puff
Would strongly recommend banana cake and Goreng Pisang. The Goreng Pisang comes with a black sauce that is savoury, spicy and a bit of sweetness (I think it's Kecap Manis but you can ask the staff to confirm). That sauce is A GAME CHANGER. The banana cake is 🔥🔥 and for all intents and purposes, tastes like a sweeter version of Hiap Joo Bakery's banana cake - sorry I can't think of a better relevant reference, but it's THAT good!
The other stuff were mostly average. Do note the bread with runny egg on top is just what it is - and the bread slice is a little thicker than the other toasts so do what you will with that info. Would not recommend the Snowy Polo bun; I personally feel it's a bit jelak because it's not like those traditional Polo Bun with a butter slice in the middle. It tastes like a more flour-y Roti Boi LOL but that's just my opinion.
Got here at 11.55am and there was already a crowd. Most of the tables were already seated and more people, and not just more people - but locals, started coming in as we ate. You know you're in the right place if many locals drop by 👏
While I think that one review about the diaper change is totally justifiable and I agree with OP on how it should have been handled, hope it doesn't happen again and the restaurant can take measures to ensure. Would definitely...

For our road trip to Desaru, we decided to take the Tuas Checkpoint route instead of the Causeway. Though it’s a longer drive, it turned out to be a great decision—way less traffic and a much smoother journey! 🚗💨 And to top it off, this detour led us to Padi Kopitiam, where we enjoyed a hearty breakfast before continuing our drive. No regrets at all! 😋
This local gem serves up classic Malaysian breakfast fare, and everything we ordered hit the spot. The kaya toast was perfectly crisp with a rich, fragrant coconut jam, while the soft-boiled eggs were done just right, pairing beautifully with a splash of soy sauce and white pepper. Their nasi lemak was another highlight—fluffy coconut rice, crunchy ikan bilis, and a flavorful sambal that packed just the right amount of heat. And of course, no kopitiam breakfast is complete without a cup of aromatic kopi, which gave us the perfect caffeine boost for the road ahead.
The relaxed setting and friendly service made it a great pit stop, allowing us to start our journey on a high note. If you’re driving to Desaru via Tuas Checkpoint, I highly recommend making a stop at Padi Kopitiam. A delicious, fuss-free meal and a smooth drive—what more could we ask for? Looking forward to more foodie finds along...
Read moreOrdered the black sauce Kolo Mee, and food looked good. However when I tucked into my food, the noodles were sticking together and the noodles were completely cold and seemed like it had been left sitting for a while. Couldn't have been the fan right above my table as well, since the noodles would at least have been warm inside but it was cold - almost like when you takeaway and left the noodles sitting the whole day. Even the wanton soup that came with the noodles was merely lukewarm at best.
Not sure why, as they have a pretty busy kitchen.
Did I just get one that was wrongly cooked for other customers and left there until someone else ordered it?
I asked the staff, who seemed pretty apologetic and offered to change it for me. As I'd eaten halfway already, I told them to heat it up and it would be good enough for me. However the noodles that were brought back were still cold (the bowl was warm though), only the fishball was hot (maybe they dumped it back to boil).
Overall pretty disappointing to be honest 😔 it was recommended but failed to meet...
