This Dim Sum Eatery looks like a Kopitiam, but is actually Air-Conditioned, although it wasn't Super Cold at 7.40am when I visited. Cleanly Maintained, Bright and Relatively Large The Background Music was some Karaoke Songs played via a Small TV.
Staffs were Friendly, Polite and Mostly Kept to Themselves. One thing is that the Boss himself is a Very Active and Friendly Chap on hand to personally overlook the Operation. Although not full house on a Saturday Morning when I went, Business was still quite Brisk as I observed with the Amount of likely Local Customers regularly coming and going.
Interestingly, this place actually served up a Dish of Hot Water with Utensils for Customers HK-Style. This is the 1st Kopitiam Based Dim Sum Eatery that I've seen that does this. Really gave me very Fond Memories of Hong Kong indeed.
All the Dim Sums were served in Typical Mr DIY Style of Faux Bamboo Plastic Containers. Interestingly, they were padded with a White Plastic Mesh instead of Parchment Paper. This is the 1st time I'm seeing this used for Dim Sum. While I applaud the use of Re-Usable Mesh like this, I do wonder if there is a Risk of this Plastic Mesh eventually Breaking Down due to Prolonged Usage and Heating?
Anyway, it took 2 Mins for the Kopi-O-Kosong, and 6 Mins for Everything Else to be served up together. Quite impressive that they serve all Dim Sums at once even without me requesting for it.

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts
At the Price of RM2.70 (S$0.90) for this Kopi, this was a Pretty Unique Tasting Coffee that tasted like Bittergourd 苦瓜. I reckon it must use a Unique Sort of Coffee Bean for this. I do like this for its Unique Taste, although I'm sure this Kopi taste will be Divisive for some people. Even the Friendly Boss also mentioned that some People don't like this type of Bitterness. Unique Tasting, I guess you will have to give it a try yourself to see if this is a Coffee Bitterness that you can accept.
At the Price of RM7.50 (S$2.30) for both Siew Mai and Har Gao, they are both Very Small Meatball sized. I wouldn't call these Very Elite Tasting, but they do still taste Decent and Acceptable for me. For the Price they're asking for them, I feel they're reasonable.
At the Price of RM6.50 (S$2.00) for 3 CSBs also felt reasonable. Although they were on the Smaller Side, I thought they were still Decently Made and I do like that they use the Sweetish Ooey Gooey type of Inner Filling that I prefer.
Overall, I am quite OK with this place. Especially for an Indoor Air-Conditioned Kopitiam Eatery, I thought the Prices they're asking for their Dim Sums are very Reasonable. Although Taste is not Super Amazing, I thought they were Decent. Their Kopi was the one that was the Highlight for me. First time taste a Coffee Bean that tasted like a Bittergourd.
I enjoyed my time and have no issues with this Place. I can recommend this to give it a try if you are around the Area craving for some Dim Sums.

Read moreHidden gem alert! Onggi Dim Sum is where the magic happens and where the locals actually go for their dim sum fix.
Tucked away in the heart of the neighbourhood like a well-guarded secret recipe, Onggi doesn’t shout for attention as it lets the food do all the talking. Think: piping hot har gow with translucent skins that bounce back ever so slightly, and siu mai that are juicy enough to make you pause mid-sentence.
The vibe? Unpretentious, friendly, and charmingly chaotic on weekends. Don’t expect fancy interiors but can still expect stainless steel kettles and handwritten specials.
Best part? The aunties remember your face after a few visits. Bonus points if you order in Cantonese (or at least try).
If you’re looking for a place where the tea flows endlessly and the dim sum is the real deal, do skip the mall chains and follow the locals to Onggi. Just don’t tell too many...
Read moreWe had a lovely dim sum lunch at 王家點心茶樓 Onggi Dim Sum! The food was fresh, authentic, and came out piping hot. Our order included 菊花 (Chrysanthemum tea), 奶皇波丝球 (Salted Egg Yolk Liu Sha Ball), 招牌雪山流沙包 (Signature Snow Mountain Liu Sha Bun), and 菠菜水晶饺 (Spinach Crystal Dumpling). Everything was well-prepared, and we especially loved the variety—each item had its own distinct flavour and texture.
The staff were attentive and friendly, making the experience even better. The restaurant had a clean and comfortable atmosphere, perfect for a casual meal with friends or family. If you’re a fan of dim sum, this spot is definitely worth checking out!
Highly recommended, will be back to try more...
