Restoran Asam Pedas & BBQ — Restaurant in Iskandar Puteri

Visited for lunch and found the experience quite enjoyable. The restaurant offers ample parking space, making it very easy to find a spot.

It was my first time trying asam pedas, so I don’t have a benchmark for comparison. However, I found the dish to be well-balanced in flavor, neither too spicy nor too sour.

Order Review:

Asam Pedas Fish (4/5): The sauce was flavorful and balanced, but the fish didn’t seem very fresh, which detracted slightly from the dish.

Salted Egg Sotong (3.5/5): While the sauce was tasty, it leaned a bit too sweet for my preference. Some of the sotong pieces were overcooked, resulting in a rubbery texture.

Kangkung Belacan (4/5): A comforting and well-executed dish with a pleasant flavor. It wasn’t overly spicy, making it easy to enjoy.

I find this place awesome. Spacious, quiet and I like the atmosphere of this restaurant. It has outdoor and indoor tables. A very nice place to chill out as a group. They serve cooked food and at the same time you can also purchase their BBQ combo which the server would prepare and light up your BBQ pit. You just need to grill your food and rest of the job leave it to them. Food was awesome & price might be slight pricey but still affordable range of price. We ordered many many dishes at 550RM for 10pax, I think the price is okay for me paying for the atmosphere, nice food, clean environment and gathering...

We came on a Tuesday around 5pm ish, the BBQ fish was already sold out, so it was a bit disappointing. There was 4 of us, Total amount spent was RM189. Food taste wise was ok, serving was quite fast. The Taugeh dish we ordered was overcooked. The sotong goreng tepung was a bit hard, think it was overcooked too. The crab dish we ordered 'ketam asap', the meat sticks to the crab, not like how we usually eat where the meat falls off easily. Ikan tiga rasa was delicious. Btw this place got a bit of mosquito...so please bring your...
