vburg Bakery (T.U.T.A) — Restaurant in Iskandar Puteri

To management of vburg Cafe,

I am writing this not to condemn on the food or beverages, but rather to provide constructive feedback on your staff, namely Front of The House for their complete lack of disregard and awareness towards customers. I have brought my foreign guest to dine here because of certain dietary restrictions that we have, and I am disappointed the staffs (a few different staff) ONLY converse to us in Mandarin - when CLEARLY, OBVIOUSLY and unless you're blind, that my guest is not of Asian descent and do not speak the language. It is utterly disrespectful and complete lack of awareness that if your staff is going to work as Front of The House, then they MUST be able to speak in BASIC ENGLISH. They clearly did not bother as they spoke to my international guest in Mandarin as he clearly does not speak the language. Common phrases of "May I clean your table, I will repeat your order, Here is your order" were all uttered in Mandarin. When your guest is not local and you speak in a language that they clearly do not know, it is very disrespectful and offensive. As the management team, it is part of your duty to ensure all your staff have basic command in English or at least provide basic English phrases to be used in restaurants. We do not expect high level English, but at least an attempt to speak it to...

I have always been VBurg's regular customer since 2018 and their cafe and products have given a wonderful experience. However, recently, VBurg has been busy expanding and with its sales hence which I believe that it has cause them to have poorer quality breads and untrained staff. It seems like most of their new staffs are inexperienced and not well trained. Recently I went there and their staff did not provide me a buy 5 free 1 offer (breads) until a customer next to me reminded the cashier that I've brought 5 breads and I should be receiving 1 more for free. I hope they could improve in training their staffs (especially new ones) because I believed that motivated and well trained staff will severely impact on the brand image and sales...

I have ordered Signature Croissants 4boxes. It tasted superb. Love it very much. I also bought a few boxes as New Year Gift for my friends. They called and thank me for the delicious croissants , they all said it tasted very nice, crispy and rich in aroma. Their croissants is really made with butter, not margerine.
