Went during late morning around 11am. Place is quite crowded. Our group is 5 adults and 4 kids. We manage to find a combined table to sit properly our grp size. Ordering is done at the front counter. Do know what u want before you reach the counter for ordering.
We order half braised duck, portion of Tau Kwa, Tau Kee, half pig trotter, sour veg, pig skin, braised egg, large intestine.
Got to say the portions are quite big even for 1-2 pax portion. I think if you are going in as a big group. 1 portion of everything will do, just to try the taste of everything.
Counter staff is loud and straightforward. But it’s ok, working in a tight environment, we can understand. Nothing personal.
Special mention got to go to the pig trotter, large intestine and braised duck. The pig trotter is quite special because it has a tingly spiciness contained within. The multi use chilli sauce works and complement with all the meats.
Overall, worth a visit and a meal over here. I rate them...
Read moreWe are repeat customers at this place famous for braised duck and pig trotter. Succulent meat and tasty with many other add-on items, such as bean curd skin, braised tofu, braised eggs, pig skin, etc. Dishes are served with rice or noodles depends on one’s preference. Order and pay at cashier, then food will be served at the seated table. Friendly, helpful and approachable owner and servers. We went for lunch yesterday. Ordered braised duck for 2 person, bean curd skin, braised pig skin, 2 braised eggs with 2 plain rice plus 2 glasses of cold barley. It cost us RM44 for 2 of us for what we ordered. The pig trotter is a must-try for a group bigger than 2 person unless you’re big eater as the portion is meant for 2 person at least. One of the best places for braised duck and pig trotter in JB by far in...
Read moreOne of the best braised duck rice in town, without a doubt! My family and I have been coming here regularly since I was a kid, and I'm happy to say the food tastes just as good as before. The flavour is consistently amazing.
I bet you couldn't find anything close to this standard elsewhere. It's that good!
A quick note: it's a hawker-style restaurant, so don't expect full service. You'll need to find your own seat and queue at the counter to order. The food will then be served to you at your table.
If you are anywhere in the Skudai area, this is an absolute must-try food....
