This was a Large Eatery that specializes in Chinese-Styled Kueh Kuehs. Really Big Place with both a Air-Conditioned Section, and a Non-Airconditioned Section that is located right next door.
Really Crowded at 8.45am on a Saturday Morning and I was lucky I was still able to get a Seat as a Solo Diner. Of course most people would prefer to dine inside the Air-Conditioned Section. Staffs are Very Friendly, Polite and Helpful. No Issues there.
The Kuehs are kept very much like in a Bakery Style, so just go ahead and get a Tray and Pick whatever you want. Prices are Clearly Listed. Once you're ready, just bring them to a Cashier to pay.
The Kuehs I've selected are considered some of their Signature 招牌菜 here. They have a Small Pot of Chilli on Every Table. It has an Earthy Presence of Chilli but is Not Spicy. In fact its so not spicy that I think even Children should have no issues with this.
芒光(原味) Mangguang Original = RM1.40 Each
This is their Main Signature Kueh. Basically a Very Big Sng Kueh made at a Higher Level. The Dough is Tender Soft and Chewy. The Mangguang Filling within is Sweetish, tastes Nice with a Soft Crunch and Not Too Salty.
This tastes Very Nice. I thought its Flavourful enough to eat even without any Condiments although it wouldn't hurt to dip it into some Black Sauce which I didn't see any though.
糯米糕(猪) Glutinous Rice (Pork) = RM1.80 Each
Outwardly it looks No Different from a Png Kueh, and I think probably also uses the Same Png Kueh Mold. Again, the Skin is Tender Soft. What I really liked is the Inner Filling which tasted more like a Bak Zhang Filling.
Its Jacked Full of Glutinous Rice, Mushrooms, Water Chestnuts? Haebee, abit of some Veggies and of course Pieces of Braised Pork. Fuyoh! Very Savoury Taste, not at all Salty. I like this one the best. Basically like eating a Bak Zhang but wrapped in a Png Kueh Looking Kueh. This is a Definite Must Try!
红龟糕(咸) Ang Ku Kueh (Salted Bean) = RM1.10 Each
Not sure whether to call this "Ang Ku Kueh" or "Orr Ku Kueh" since its Black in Colour. Although it calls itself "Salted Bean", its actually kindda Sweet. I like the Crystaline Look of the Tender Soft Skin and the Filling is a Soft and Smooth Mung Bean with No Gritty Texture. Not Bad for a Sweet type of Kueh if you like Ang Ku Kuehs.
Conclusion and Closing Thoughts
At an Average of RM1.80 (S$0.60) per Kueh, I feel these are priced very reasonably. I especially enjoyed the Glutinous Rice (Pork) because the Fillings within are so Jacked Up. Just 2 of these I think can fill you up very nicely.
The Quality of these Kuehs are made at a High Level. They don't taste like a Cheaply Made Factory Supplier Product. The Huge Amount of Customers they have in this place is a Very Clear Indication of how good they are already.
That said, because this place is so Popular, you need to be prepared that you might not be able to get a Seat when dining in. I was merely lucky that I was able to snag a seat.
There's something about this place that really appealed to me. The Kuehs are Good Quality and Taste Nice, the Staffs are Friendly and Polite and Prices are Very Reasonable and Affordable.
Highly Recommended to give this a Try if you're here in TUTA. Hopefully you're able to dine in here and eat the Kuehs Fresh.

Atmosphere: 4🌟 There's 2 shop lots, the main one with air conditioning and the other one (maybe half shop lot) doesn't have air conditioning. Total I think about 12-15+ tables.
Service: 4.5🌟 Friendly, attentive and fast service. Take a seat and wait for the waiter to come and order through tablet. For Kuih, you can also take a plate or container (for take away) and just select what you need and bring to your table.
Dessert: Cendol 3.25🌟 It looks and tastes simple (not very sweet) but it's pretty good and very refreshing. Not a lot of ingredients though but maybe match its prices, not very sure. Priced at Rm 4.50

Read moreWow one of the best place to have breakfast early in the morning. The portions are small and just right for small eaters so feel free to order other dishes to share cos they are fairly bite sized. Coffee is surprisingly not bitter even without sugar. The kuehs are dirt cheap at 1rm but it may not taste so nice. The taste in my opinion is too blend and neutral tasting. Perhaps slightly on the healthy side of things. I mean the coconut kueh isn’t sweet at all. But it’s packed with loads of coconut. So yes your choice! Overall tables clear fast as people come n go. It’s air conditioned so it’s a plus point compared to the other eateries in the area. This restaurant also promotes digitalisation as your orders are tracked via an iPad and payment is made at the last stage after you leave the restaurant so u can just keep taking and eating and ordering !!! It’s a rare find and I will be back to taste the other dishes such as mee siam...
