The star of the show for me was the Mee Siam with chicken pieces. The flavours were outstanding, and the chicken was tender and succulent. The balance of spices and the savory notes of the dish left a lasting impression. The fried bee hoon, which complemented the chicken pieces perfectly. The noodles were cooked to perfection, and the combination of textures was a joy to savour. It's evident that attention to detail is a priority in the kitchen. While the drink I ordered was average, my companions raved about their cups of Coffee Latte, describing them as excellent. The rich aroma and smooth taste left them thoroughly satisfied, making it a must-try for coffee enthusiasts. I couldn't resist sampling the half-boiled eggs, and I was pleased to find them incredibly fresh. It's a simple dish, but the quality of the eggs speaks volumes about the commitment to using high-quality ingredients. Service at The Toast is commendable, with a fast and efficient staff that ensures a smooth dining experience. However, it's worth noting that the queue can build up during peak meal times, so planning accordingly...

I’ve been a regular customer at The Toast, but the service has really gone downhill recently. During our visit, we clearly wrote our order: only one Mee Siam with Otak. However, we were served two. When we pointed out the mistake, the waiter insisted that the system showed two were ordered — but that was not what we wrote. We asked them to show our original written order. After a delay, they brought back a slip that now showed two Mee Siam Otak, but the handwriting wasn’t ours. That raised concerns about whether the order was tampered with. To make things worse, when we tried to clarify the issue at the counter, the same waiter followed us and kept suggesting we just take the extra item as takeaway. It felt like they were trying to push us to accept something we didn’t order — rather than admit a mistake. Very disappointing experience. We hope The Toast looks into this seriously and ensures honest service from all staff, local or foreign. Customers...

I have been in this area quite a few times and have always noticed this shop for quite a few times. Happen to be in this area again and decide to give this place a try. I was there around 1 pm and the place was relatively crowded. They have both outdoor and indoor seatings. The ordering of food is pretty straightforward. It's done via the qr code provided on the table. Menu is pretty extensive, from local delights to Western food. I ordered their signature dry mee siam with fried chicken, kaya butter toast and a drink.

Food didn't take long to be ready. The fried mee siam was not bad as it has a pretty strong dried shrimp taste. Fried chicken was nicely marinated. The butter kaya toast was not bad either, nice contrast of the ice cold butter from the hot toast. Paid MYR$19 for my meal.

Overall, I enjoyed the food, and the dining environment was not too bad either. If I am not wrong, they have a few...

Nice food and good beverages, especially the butter Kaya bread and signature Nanyang breakfast. Update on July 2025: Been supporting since 2014 when the shop is white wood decorated. Butter Kaya getting worst and worst, Kaya kedekut nak bagi, add Kaya +RM1.50. Food portion decrease while the price increase. Drinks quality is unstable, sometimes great most of the time not so good, if you luck enough you get a jackpot that the Yuan Yang tastes like hell and the waiter doesn't even know what wrong with it after changing twice. R&C is so much better, tastes better with the same price, lots of Kaya (leaks out when you bite), thick butter and no need to add on RM1.50. They got better food variety and taste good overall. Competition is fierce in FNB industry and much worst when the quality is unstable.
