蜀大侠火锅 Shudaxia Hotpot - Batu Pahat — Restaurant in Johor

Overall had an average dining experience. Food tastes average. Pretty disappointed with the beef talon(牛油）mala pot as there is very minimum beef oil in it. Taste more like regular mala pot than beef talon mala pot. Since there is an additional charge for the beef talon mala soup base, it doesn’t justify for the paid price, hence the disappointment. Meat platter (ring) is also average. Meats are usually served frozen and rolled. But this restaurant serves them thawed, flat, slightly overlapping each other. Also, the portion is relative small (amount of pieces per ring). The other disappointing thing is the self service bar and no dessert. There is only one type of cold dish appetizer. All the hotpot restaurants I went to serve 3-4 cold dish appetizers and one to two types of desserts in the self service bar. There is a self service ice cream chest, but it doesn’t make up to the above shortcomings. Manpower seems swamped in busy dinner time. Had to wait 30mins for add on dishes to be served. Absolutely blown away by the food, service, ambience and decoration of this hotpot restaurant! To all hotpot lovers, you will love this place!!! We heard about this hot pot place and decided to try it out. The atmosphere was amazing and the food has a lot of variety. We chose the pepper pork stomach soup as the base and it was so delicious.
