Comic's Restaurant — Restaurant in Johor

11 tables full house and we had to wait a little while on a Saturday 10am. Customers waiting patiently at their table for the food.

Strike a concession with the family next table and got the below info. This is a third generation coffee place and the reason why it's named comic restaurant was that decades ago, there were a lot customer reading comics while reading the comics that were provided, and along the aisle outside of the eatery.

More than half of the tables had parents that brought their kids along... Probably a place where they have many fond memories.

The food are all very light in taste, and we finally realised why every table are provided with soy sauce and pepper. Add the seasonimg to suit your taste.

Duck noodle and fried liver/pork/ intestine are the ones that don't need seasoning, while yue guang hor, char kuey teow and bee hoon need.

Ordered Char Kuey Kak and handmade noodle dry, drinks ordered iced lemon tea and Kopi O ice. Char Kuey Kak very aromatic, each of the Kak evenly coated with sweet soy sauce and personally I like the little bit burnt smell. The handmade dry noodle I would say a bit salty and too watery overall average. Here come the drinks, iced lemon tea not from any instant tea bag, I believe is the owner make it themselves. And the iced lemon lemon you can see there is a foam on top! Kopi O ice, you don’t need to request less sugar or what so ever as it already less sweet and definitely 💯 the most OG Kopi O ever I had. Used to come here for lunch every week but after MCO seldom join the group for lunch...

The food is good and the price is very attractive considering almost all stalls are increasing price. And if you need bigger portion can let the boss knows when ordering then they can increase the portion with merely RM1 more.
