Strike a concession with the family next table and got the below info. This is a third generation coffee place and the reason why it's named comic restaurant was that decades ago, there were a lot customer reading comics while reading the comics that were provided, and along the aisle outside of the eatery.
More than half of the tables had parents that brought their kids along... Probably a place where they have many fond memories.
The food are all very light in taste, and we finally realised why every table are provided with soy sauce and pepper. Add the seasonimg to suit your taste.
Duck noodle and fried liver/pork/ intestine are the ones that don't need seasoning, while yue guang hor, char kuey teow and bee hoon need.
