Read moreThe ambience and the ID of this place is very aesthetic. The food is good, our chicken was well flavoured and juicy even at the breast part. Matcha-misu was a bit of a let down, the lady finger was still crispy not fully soaked. But the most disappointing part of all is the service. The staffs were very ill-trained & disrespectful. Called them at the beginning of the service few times they couldn’t hear so I had to raise my voice to say “hello” to get their attention; and instead of acknowledging my calls, one of the servers went ahead and made fun of me by repeating after my “hello” while giggling among his mates who for some reasons crowding at the same area. At first we didn’t think much of it, didn’t want to make a scene, and thought maybe it was an isolated incident so we let it go but guess what, it happened again, to the customers at the table next to us. These customers had their table decorated for special occasion and they’re both happened to be of the same gender, but that might have triggered some funny (& insultingly judgy) reactions among the staffs as they giggled all the way and couldn’t even controlled their giggles right in front of the customers, giving signal to each other. The female server even still giggled when taking the order from the two gentlemen. We understand that others may live a life that is of different principles than ours but these are paying customers, you’re a server in f&b business, where is your etiquette? Their live choices are not for you to judge, you just need to do what you’re paid to do. Would never recommend this place to anyone. To the owner, please get your servers a proper training. We enjoyed the food and the ambience but rude, ill-mannered staffs is where we...
Read moreFood is good, presentation is amazing, recommended to come here if you have special occasions due to the high price. The mushroom soup is the best so far, very aromatic and the sourdough bread is very authentic England style, if you would like to know how UK bread tastes like, order the soup.
The atmosphere is really good, very relaxing place to hangout with your family and a fantastic dating location. (Provided your wallets are lined with money.)
There are still a few things to nitpick about. The atmosphere is nature friendly, but due to that we are constantly assaulted by small flies, not too many but... just enough to annoys us.
I ordered the angus beef sirloin (medium rare) and it was quite tough, and too much connective tissues that are giving my mouth a workout. It was quite expensive, RM168, but there are better alternatives at other restaurant (i won't name it) which was half the price, more tender and jucier. Overall, could be better.
The spicy cauliflowers are very tasty, served with a plethora of seeds, nuts and promegranates that gave me a nice contrast and explosive flavours, but well it unfortunately came with a strip of paper towel in one of them...
Not to mention the matcha latte, I ordered both the Ayame and Wakatake variations, Ayame is the one with matcha kitkat on top, with a bit of bitter tasting matcha. On the other hand, wakatake tastes more umami and rich, with no toppings, a more ceremonial type.
The matcha-missu was ordered as dessert and the coffee was really rich and aromatic, well done on that. Although I did not taste alot of matcha as the dish...
