Went for lunch on a weekday - Dishes were largely good, great even esp. the 八寶飯 & 咸蛋蝦球 super tasty, except for the 東坡肉 (as came recommended by the person taking order) which was disgustingly bad - over-the-top sweet (echoed by quite a few reviews here).

Food aside, I was puzzled by the many foreign male servers/waiters who were just standing around idle chatting and staring (literally ogling) at diners eating. If the ogling is to provide first hand service e.g. topping of tea (the most basic service requirements of these servers) that I can understand but NOPEeeeeeeee no such service or any service at all from them but just standing, idling and ogling throughout like handicaps literally. At 1 point, it got so perversely bad I had to stare back at 1 of them and he immediately looked away.

I can understand why they are behaving like this because the managers/supervisors (both the one taking orders & the foreign male 'supervisor' in tie who obviously can speak mandarin but weirdly cannot take order) did not seem to care providing much of a service as well. . Never once saw them checking on diners (entire restaurant) or at the very least - have presence.

Really fortunately for this restaurant, the waitressess only not the supervisors (even the foreign ones) were a lot more attentive and service oriented esp the young chn waitress who brought us our bill whom I observed earlier was trying hard to communicate w 1 of the foreign ogler waiters regarding setting of table until she literally gave up. Poor girl, have to work with a bunch of handicaps and nonexistent...

We are a newlywed couple who held our wedding at Long Sing Restaurant Gala Palace, hoping to create a beautiful and unforgettable memory. Unfortunately, due to their serious coordination failures, it became a lifelong regret.

During the important balloon-popping segment of our wedding, the stage lighting, music, and balloon timing were all completely out of sync. The key moment was entirely missed, leaving us feeling embarrassed in front of our family and friends. Even though we had rehearsed the sequence before the wedding, issues still occurred on the actual day, and our photographer missed capturing our most precious moment.

After the wedding, we contacted the restaurant multiple times to raise our concerns. While they admitted their mistakes and offered some compensation options, once we tried to further discuss and settle the matter, they went completely silent. We have sent multiple messages and made countless phone calls, but none were answered. It has now been over a month, and the issue remains unresolved.

We are deeply disappointed by the restaurant’s irresponsible attitude in handling the situation. Their lack of professionalism and basic integrity is unacceptable. We are sharing our experience to caution other couples who may be considering this venue for their wedding or important event — please think twice and carefully consider their service quality and follow-up responsibility.

A wedding is once in a lifetime. All we wanted was a proper resolution, yet they failed to even maintain basic communication. It’s truly...

Food so far so good, but had a bad experience! Especially manager called Steve! He is very rude and unprofessional!! First they put us to a dusty table which usually i saw staff packing or do their own work there before, meanwhile there is still many available table. We try to make ourselves adapt to it but after we finds that even the plate and cup was dirty, we decided to change to another table. When we walk and talk to the manager called Steve, he say ok with the impatient face, then he shout at us said "now you can choose whatever table you like!", so we just moved to the next table. After that everything goes normal as usual dining. Then the best part coming, we ordered 8 dim sum but only 7 come, when try to feedback to Steve about this and we decided to add 1 more dish, he not even acknowledge or give some response then he just walk away. Yes, he walk away just like that! I not even have time to finish my words and show him the orders! This is really irresponsible and unprofessional action!! Why he being so rude?!! 2 adults and 1 child ordered 8 dishes dim sum is it too little business for him? Or is it because we want to change to another table? I just don't get it! Ok, story end. We will not considered to visit this bloody...

Look posh and grand from the outside . Service was consider prompt in filling up my teacup that’s all . The food was horrible . Every dish was super sweet except the veg and prawn. The Chinese red wine chicken was tender but super sweet . The butter prawn was not very fresh , taste fishy and some the meat was breaking instead of succulent. 东坡肉 throw in so much sugar to Caramelised the meat and the dish was burnt before the meat gets tender. Never had such a horrible 东坡肉before that can’t even chew except the fats. The ice sweet and sour pork , texture was good but sweet , coated with a thick layer of sugar syrup. Not a tinch of sourness. The veg was not very fresh a bit yellow but taste decent. The most unacceptable was the environment , we had a few little guest companied us throughout the dinner. We have to flag and eat to prevent them from contaminating our food. The staff just stand and watch we fighting with these large cluster flies . We didn’t finish the dinner and left . This is the first time there lucky we ordered some simple dish to try before going for the premium and live seafood. Strongly do not recommend this place . Waste money and waste food .

Nice value for money dim sum across the causeway. A little further drive up in a stand-alone building with ample parking in front. If you have a big group, you can order a variety of food to share. Dim sum is on 50% discount on weekdays which makes it even more worthwhile. It was about S$10 per person if you just have dim sum. Favourites among the group included the char siew bau, fried carrot cake, kong bak bau. Some items were abit lacking but still can order at this price - the prawn cheong fun skin is little limp and the prawns quite tiny. The xiaolongbao is rather messy as the skin sticks to the mold and thus will break when u try to lift it off, the meat inside is inconsistent, at times firm at times gooey. The chicken feet were too peppery spicy. The Buddha Jump Over The Wall was on a Buy 2 Free 1 offer with a local OCBC credit card which works out to be about RM100 for each bowl. Not exactly cheap. The abalone was tough and the fish maw was like chewing at a towel. Only the shark’s fin and the soup was enjoyable. Overall nice and clean atmosphere and the toilets were clean too.
