Ordered Black Sesame Strawberry Red Bean snow ice. The strawberry is very sad looking, only two small unripe strawberries cut up which is not like the one shown on the menu. On the other hand, there are a lot of red beans. I ordered this over the peanut one for the strawberries but was disappointed. The ice is smooth and has a light black sesame taste. The outer layer tasted better because of some drizzling which is more sweet compared to the inner layer of ice.
Also ordered Taro Milk Snow Ice. The ice is smooth and has a nice and light milk taste. The taro paste is also sweet and delicious. They gave a side of condensed milk (?) to drizzle over the snow ice which added a lot of sweetness to it. The taro balls are nice and chewy too. The peanut crumbs add a nice texture to it.
Comparing both snow ice, the taro one has a smaller portion. There is less ice compared to the black sesame one.
Wanted to order the durian snow ice but it was out of stock.
The atmosphere is nice and chill, ac is not too cold. But after all the customers left, they probably turned down the ac and it started getting warmer. We sat at the back near the toilet.
There is a fish tank with beautiful fishes which is nice to look at.
As for the service, when we asked for some recommendations on the snow ice, the waiter made some gestures and left and did not return to give us a recommendation. After calling him back for the second time, we just ordered what looked nice. We also could not communicate well with the Myanmar waiter and had to call over another one to order. But the snow ice is served quickly and we did not have to wait for a long time for it after ordering.
We are supposed to write down our order on a piece of paper but we decided not to because it was just two small orders and we did not want to waste papers, maybe it is also part...
Read moreOne of oldest F&B shop in Muar for the pass few decades. The restaurant looks updated and need new modern renovation so to continue challenging the surrounding new and modern comfortable restaurants and Café.
Nevertheless, this restaurant can survived till today was not easy, they do have it own unique attractions. As the shop name said, they are ICE TOWN.
Ice menu was their main selling points, even they do sell foods and beverages. But most customers came in mainly for their unique shave ices. From what the menu shown, variety of ice flavors for selection, definitely have one that you will like.
Food pricing is high, unless they renovate this place for a better and comfortable place. Unless I very craving for shave ice otherwise I probably not come so often.
