Good place to have Indian cuisine in Johor Bahru. It's got a wide variety of dishes to choose from if you opt for the banana leaf rice. They also have choices of Dosa (Thosai), Prata, Uttapam, Bahtura, Poori, Appam, Idiappam, Idly. You can also order fish head curry if you fancy. There's also other seafood like crab and prawn. I personally enjoy their milk tea. Make sure you order Teh Tarik. I prefer the less sugar version (kurang manis). It's full bodied and tastes very good, with a smooth silky texture to it. You can order from a range of teas, juices and even lassi. Price is a little higher than some Indian restaurants but it isn't too high. Mid range I suppose. Never miss it if you are in the area. Usually packed during dinner time. Lunch time usually packed in the weekends.

The Briyani here is superb and famous with its variety. The portion is big and two persons can share if you're not big eater. I especially love the fried bitter gourd and the masala chicken, cannot imagine how many types of herbs and curry powders they put in to come up with these savories. I can't believe my new colleague who's a Malaysian Chinese has never tried nasi briyani before! We are in Malaysia, a food heaven, and many of us take this for granted, maybe because he's a vegetarian. Anyway, we bought an additional pack of nasi briyani for takeaway, meant for prayer food of Chinese God Na Tuk Gong. According to senior folks, Na Tuk Gong loves briyani rice very much!

Yes, the Chee Cheong Fun is not from this restaurant. Waited for 30 mins no one give a single ****. Not even a gesture of "pls hold on sir. Thats why chinese prosper, we dont. They fix and improve their working ethics, most importantly they are not arrogant! Dear Agneey boss, pls fix your arrogance and improve your service. Never going to step to your restaurant with your extreme arrogance and lousy attitude. Btw, the Chee Cheong Fun took 5 mins only to complete, respect aunty, always hungry for customers and good service! (Location, food court nearby)

I have been a regular patron of this restaurant for years. It’s a well-known Indian eatery in the area, and although it may not serve what I would call authentic Indian food, I notice that many Indian locals frequent the place.

The restaurant is best known for a few dishes, including their Indian set lunch, where customers choose dishes from a display counter, and roti starting at 3:30 p.m., along with tandoori chicken and naan. As for drinks, their previous signature beverages included "blu" (a mix of coffee and milk tea), coffee, and milk tea. However, it’s important to note that some of the drinks are not freshly made-to-order. Instead, they seem to pre-boil the tea and store it in containers before mixing with milk and serving it.

During my latest visit, after finishing my meal, I was sipping on a milk tea (teh tarik) when I noticed something unusual in the drink. At first, I thought it was a tea leaf, but after spitting it out, I discovered it was a fly. I immediately reported this to a waiter, but unfortunately, I received no response. When I later informed the supervisor (also acting as cashier) while paying the bill, I was told the fly may have gotten in when the drink was prepared. While I didn’t ask for a replacement or refund, for obvious reasons, I would have appreciated a better response or at least an apology.

Given the lack of concern for hygiene, I don’t plan to return unless there’s a clear improvement in...

Im not a complain person usually i wait calm for the waiter to take order whenever i go to a restaurant but this restaurant just pieced me off! The service is super slow even though no crowd. Waited for almost 10 mins still no one attend until i go inside asked them then only they come and take order. Atlst you can fix a calling button in each table Incase you feel you might overlook customer at outside. If you only take order those sitting inside then you dont need to put table outside! So many waiters but all standing inside only no one is coming outside! Lets talk about the food Kesari only have rawa n color not even a single cashew nuts o kismis of course now everything is expensive but you also increase the price right atlst put 1 kismis n cashew nuts not a empty kesari , poori i dont know how thin they make the flour until i only see the cruch poori potato alt of ajinamoto. TBH they Just Ruined my morning mood...!! Such a...

Went there on the 24th July for breakfast. Looking forward to tosai and idli but was told that these items were not available due to shortage of staff. So had putu mayam with dal, curry puffs and a special kind of egg. Food was very good. I gave 3 stars due to the service provided. It's obvious they didn't have enough waiters to take orders and serve food. The poor guy at the cashier had to do the cashier's job as well as take orders and serve. He was trying his best to please customers who were fed-up of waiting. Looks like this issue of not having enough staff is a long standing issue of the restaurant. The management should look into solving this problem as I believe this restaurant has a lot of potential in being one of the best Indian restaurants in JB. Their curry puffs were so different from other places and deserve a 5 star. Do try it. Not forgetting there was a special kind of egg coated in some batter....
