Guess the above says it all. Grilled seafood and satay to die for. After this meal, we decided we needed to make a quarterly pilgrimage to Desaru.... just for Aunty G. Seafood is fresh and grilled to perfection. The satay is not your regular ones. They are XL sized satay, well marinated and grilled to perfectly. Sandwiched between each piece of meat is a small piece of meat fat. Each bite of meat and fat absolutely brings out the flavour. Only 2 types to choose from - chicken or beef but it is good enough. We also ordered from the same stall nasi goreng kampong and fried chap chai. I don't usually order fried veg when dining out but we finished the 1st plate so quickly, we had to order a second plate of vegetables. Al fresco dining is limited to about 6 tables. Seats are also available indoors. Picture says a...
Read moreFood tasted good. Ikan Bakar and satay is a must order. I personally prefer beef satay to chicken cause their chicken satay can be quite burnt sometimes. Other than that, size and taste is really good. Weirdly, their veg dishes comes in per person size. It is too small to share, I don’t have a picture but you can try ordering them. Tasty but small. It gets really busy during peak hours. They kinda don’t have a sop/system to serve their customers. Ate there a few times, the Bakar came quite quickly and was left on the table. No rice came until we asked a few times. We even went to the kitchen to take it ourselves. I don’t know if it’s cause we sat in the shop beside, under the same boss I believe but they serve western food. Well, other than this service lapse, Satay and Bakar is good and...
Read moreAunty G is a small "kopitiam" eatery, with the fish displayed outside (on the right), a satay stall on the left, and miscellaneous other items available from menu. It's not a half-way posh eatery, and you have to accept hawker-style hygiene. There is a small seating place inside with tables, but at night, tables are set outside in the carpark. The satay was the star of the night for me, with large chunky tender chicken and a peanuty-spicy sauce. Nasi goreng was pretty reasonable, while the sotong and ikan bakar came smothered in sambal sauce, which you may like. 5 stars for the satay, 3 stars for...
