Made a reservation 2 weeks ago to celebrate our wedding anniversary here and was really looking forward to the food (“JB’s 1st authentic Texas bbq smokehouse”) and the ambience (wedding vibes) as seen from other Google reviews and IG. Sadly, we were disappointed on many levels.
We arrived at about 5.50pm for a dinner reservation for 6pm (earliest dinner service). When we arrived, we were the first customers in the evening. A non-English speaking staff came up to us after we signaled to her several times (her colleagues saw us but didn’t bother to attend to us). She was speaking to us in Malay the whole time, and we told her “English please”. We explained to her several times that we couldn’t understand what she was saying. It was odd and unwelcoming because there were many of their Chinese staff around who could clearly speak English and Mandarin (they were conversing with one another) but none of them bothered to attend to us.
We were looking forward to try the smoked pork ribs and the smoked chicken, but was told by their staff that the smoked items will only be available after 7pm, because “they are still smoking the meat”. In this case, we had no choice but to either wait for 1 hour+, or order other non-smoked items (which we did, since we were already there). It was a disappointing experience and a wasted trip because we didn’t get to try their signature items. This could’ve been made known to us when we arrived, or published as an update on their socials for the benefit of customers. Perhaps you should state that dinner service starts at 7pm, instead of “6pm”.
Mosquitoes were everywhere. Our legs were extremely “attacked” by mosquitoes and we were scratching our legs and arms the whole time.. Staff saw us scratching but made no attempt to check in with us. It was unbearable and my legs were bleeding from the mosquito bites and scratches. We had to hurry through our meal and when we were finally done eating, we informed the staff that there are a lot of mosquitoes around.. Staff was unamused and replied that “we can ask them for mosquito repellent next time”. Felt that this could’ve been better communicated and managed.
Overall, even though the food was nice, the experience was disappointing and unpleasant. We would not recommend visiting this place, unless things improve — we would love to try the...
Read moreAttended wedding here today, entered the restaurant and was surprised by the decoration and atmosphere cos is was pretty, so tot the service will be good, me and my family, 4 of us was assigned to the corner sit near the toilet, total 6 dish and 1 cake will be served, BUT the waiter did not serve us 2 dish and the cake we only have chance to look at ppl sit next to us to eat it (so ridiculous), we need to keep prompting the waiter that we did not have our food.
I am allergy to seafood, the first dish is prawn, and they served me the food, after awhile, the other waitress came and told me that they actually prepared non seafood dish for me, then salad is served to me. If I didn’t know that is prawn, what happen if I eat it? I would go to emergency.
2nd dish, other ppl got salad, the only things they serve me is fries, this is very funny, I tot it will be something special, but only fries is served, I was not happy so I told the bride, he said he will feedback, then a waiter came to me and told me he will give me one more fries, guess what, till the end of the wedding ceremony, the top up fries is not served to me! Have you ever see wedding dinner serve fries?
3rd and 5th dish— Mushroom soup and fish The waiter did not serve my husband and brother. Why do wedding dinner need to prompt waiter to serve is food????
Last dish — the wedding cake, the waiter just skipped us. Went home without eating the wedding cake

I clicked on their WhatsApp account through a Google link because I wanted to make an appointment to celebrate my birthday with my family on July 5th. I noticed that they offered decoration services, so I reached out to the person in charge. The cost for the decoration was at least RM300, but I was looking for something simpler. He suggested RM150 to assist me.
I messaged the person in charge on June 5th, and I followed up on June 10th and June 15th to confirm the arrangements. He assured me that there would be no problem. My appointment was scheduled for 6:30 PM, but I informed him in advance that I would be half an hour late. He confirmed that it was fine.
Around 6:30-6:40 PM, one of my family members arrived. I told them to provide my name at the front desk, but the staff said that there was no reservation under my name. They told my family to choose any available table and sit down.
After I arrived at 6.45pm, I met the person who was responsible for contacting me on WhatsApp. He just said that we were very busy today and did not have time to help you decorate. (He doesn't feel sorry) When my first group of family members arrived, they said there were not many customers inside.
I was super disappointed with the service I got, especially since I paid a service fee.I requested a few plates, and I asked for them three times. I spent RM759 and RM69 for the service fee, which definitely didn’t...
