Love this place! It's a family-owned restaurant with a vast variety of dishes (the unagi fried rice tastes awesome). They also have their own homemade salmon fish skin! It's quite unlike the commercially sold ones as it also has some meat on it. They also offer Nagano Group's yuzu umeshu (yuzu plum wine) - an absolute must-try! I also enjoy their tenshin don (crab meat omelette rice) with lots of green onions or tenshin men (crab meat omelette with ramen) and futo maki. They also serve okonomiyaki, which is simple yet tasty. It's a bit small but okay to share between 2 pax if you have other dishes. Tempura mix and cuttlefish karaage are also my go-to here. The korokke was crunchy on the outside and filled with mashed potato on the inside. Keep in mind that it can be filling, though only two pieces are served. Ramen is also decent here though it's not heavy in taste. Pork soup ramen is quite light and tasty despite its picture. Miso ramen was definitely more flavourful if you prefer a heavier broth.

The saba fish was probably the longest one I’ve ever had, and it tasted great. As for the salad, I was hoping for more dressings. Chawamushi and miso soup tasted fine. Services were alright. My order was missed out by the chef, but the waitress was attentive, and she promptly addressed it. Atmosphere wise, the restaurant was quite compact, and there was a weird stench in the air. I hope they can do something about the awful stench. The chairs were slightly uncomfortable to sit on, too.

This is a very old established restaurant in Mahkota. However after many years coming back here to try, not surprised the price is raised slightly however the home made gyoza is delicious. The sashimi u can request smaller cuts, and the chicken katsu curry rice is tasty. The overall experience was ok. My.only comments is the rice, it would be better if they used calrose rice short grain, for the sushi and other rice dishes, is my only suggestion.

Overall, I would rank this Japanese restaurant as the top in Klang Valley. It beats any good/majority Japanese restaurant in KL. From my view it's a family owned and the staffs were family members or close friends. The "owner" pays close attention to all customers and quickly asks if any assistance was needed. Food wise- it uses good quality sauces and ingredients. Only an expert will be able to identify it if they weren't. Service was quick even though there was a heavy crowd. Nested in Bandar Mahkota servicing surrounding residential. The owner seems to know all it's regular customers. Prices were good 20-50% cheaper than any restaurants in KL, probably due to...

I really love visiting Japan, and every time I come back, I try to find authentic Japanese restaurants. Here, I truly tasted the flavors of Japan! The portions are generous, and there’s a comforting “home-cooked” feeling—just like a mother’s cooking. You can even pre-order king crab!

Japanese cuisine tends to have a stronger flavor, but what impressed me most is how they keep it true to the original taste of the ingredients. Sometimes, what makes food truly delicious isn’t just the dish itself, but the way it remembers your preferences and habits—that’s what makes it extra special. Personally, I love it here and highly...
