Project Happiness — Restaurant in Kajang Municipal Council

I recently visited Project Happiness in Cheras and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience.

Firstly, while the concept of the interior is interesting, I feel the environment would benefit from some renovation or refreshing to create a more welcoming and comfortable dining atmosphere.

I ordered two dishes: Unagi Don and Cheese Nachos.

Cheese Nachos: I would rate this 1/10. The nachos appeared to be similar to those typically found in convenience stores, and were simply plated with a very basic, cold cheese sauce. Given the price of approximately RM 13, I found this presentation and quality unacceptable and not reflective of what one would expect when dining at a restaurant.

Unagi Don: Also a 1/10. The rice portion with eggs was generous The unagi itself had a very strong fishy smell and taste, resembling the more affordable frozen unagi products I have purchased before. At RM 30, this did not meet my expectations in terms of taste or quality, and I left feeling rather disappointed with the value for money.

Overall, taking into account both the food quality and the dining environment, this was not a positive experience for me. I personally would not recommend this restaurant based...

First of all, the staff are very helpful and attentive. We ordered the cream of mushroom, mushroom steak breakie and a chicken maryland. The soup is definitely on point. You'll get the mushroom chunk in every spoon of it. And the garlic bread is very crunchy. Dipping it in the soup is just right. The portion for mushroom steak breakie is huge, at least for me. Very filling. The mini croissant served alongside is warm too. They also serve a sunny side up on the chicken maryland. Caramel latte is yum, slight sweet but it's expected. This place have swiftly pinned as 1 of my favourite cafe during my recent visit. They have 2 variety taste notes coffee from a local roaster, they have set lunches, & some menu that only available after 5pm. But oh boy, I can't handle the generous portion of the dinner myself tbh. Tried the salted-egg meat patty burger, it was okay, the fried potato slice was impeccable tho, the fish & chip can be better, the batter can be a bit crispier, & the fish skin is a bit chewy, well that's our own preferences anyway, maybe its more susceptible to others.
