Prescott Ace Kuala Lumpur Cheras — Hotel in Kajang Municipal Council

I saw the rating of this hotel as 3 Star but my personal experience tells me that I can get better services and cleaner room in a 2 Star hotel.

Here's why. 1 - the receptionist doesn't have time to greet or smile or say thank you. their job is to prepare key card, prepare document and hand over to you without saying anything. 2 - there is a used towel hanging in the bath room when i check in 3 - a bunch of hairs on the toilet seat 3a -the toilet seat are too small with the cover at about 45 degree. that means if you want to do business you will have to seat a a 45% angle. 3b - urine stain on the toilet seat 4 - a bunch of hairs on the bathroom bath area 5 - the safety box is locked maybe by the previous guest 6 - the main door door latch are gone 7 - the door lock bolt need herculean strength to lock/unlock 8 - the pillow cover and the blanket have the damp smell of not having enough time to dry off.

Second day morning i inform the receptionist. My request is to unlock the safety box, fix the door safety lock, fix the toilet seats.

The receptionist looks at me, didint say anything, and never at anytime, reply me with the standard I am sorry for the inconvenience we will fix it blah blah blah... instead turn her head to speak to her colleague.

Evening I came back - the safety box NOT FIX, the door safety lock Not Fix, the toilet seat NOT FIx, someone cleaned the room though, the used towel is gone but there are urine stain on the cover seats.

Meanwhile,the pillow cover and the blanket still have the damp smell of not having enough time to dry off.

I told the 2nd shift receptionist what I am facing and specifically asked her to fix at least the toilet seat by tomorrow - and yes, I didnt receive any response except muted stare. Afraid that she doesn't understand me, I spoke in Chinese and English.

Evening I came back from work - same old. The safety box NOT FIX, the door safety lock Not Fix, the toilet seat NOT FIx, no one clean the room, the pillow cover and the blanket still have the damp smell of not having enough time to dry off.

Check out tomorrow morning. I say good morning, please prepare my check out to a beautiful doll. She prepare the bill and in less than 10 minutes hand it over to me - all done in silence.

I think there are better options around that area the next time I come for another...

It’s a budget hotel. You get what you pay for. Room had a small fridge (can’t store much), a hairdryer and iron/ironing board. No views. Super-small bathroom (I had to step into shower and close the door to get to the toilet) and the shower water sprays into the rest of the bathroom.

Breakfast spread is very limited and caters mainly to Chinese clientele. Overall, the hotel has minimal staff on duty. Staff is friendly but not empowered to make executive decisions or solve problems. Command of English is very limited, which can be frustrating for foreign visitors who’re trying to solve issues.

One point I’d like to make is that the hotel’s website is misleading. One picture shows a lovely sitting area but on inquiry we learned it’s not accessible to hotel guests. It belongs to the condos next door.

In short, the hotel mainly caters for tour groups on a budget (including school groups). I would not recommend it for more discerning travellers, business travellers or couples looking for a romantic getaway - it doesn’t tick the boxes for those types of travel (regardless of what the website claims). The business center is little more than a room with a table, and the rooms are not comfortable enough for serious business work. Wifi (and password) is basic (i.e., security is basic).

Location is near plenty of (Chinese) eateries. Across the street there is a mall and more diverse eateries, but be mindful that there is no pedestrian crossing so you need to cross randomly into the traffic, which can be heavy at night and cars certainly don’t slow...

First, they give me a room with smoking smell and the fridge is not functioning. But problem solve immediately when I talk to the receptionist. I stay for few nights, overall the cleanliness was satisfied, receptionist (male or female staff) were friendly. Housekeeping staff was smiling whenever passby. It was very quite during my stay, no sound from outside which I can really have a good rest. Bed and pillow are comfortable. Towel, not sure. I bring my own. The impressive part is the room is equipped with iron and iron board. It is very convenient for me. Ya, the aircon, It's super cold.. I like it! Area for improvement: the floor is slightly sticky and slippery after housekeeping mop. I suppose the cleaning solution are pour over the normal ratio. Overall I am happy and comfortable for my stay.
