Kenwells Seafood Restaurant — Restaurant in Kajang Municipal Council

I saw a lot of cockroaches and rats inside the restaurant. The food didn’t taste good at all. I went there on Father’s Day 2025, and the Nestum prawns had no flavor—it seemed like they just fried the prawns and mixed them with Nestum, which also tasted bland. The Nyonya fish was not cooked properly, and the Nyonya sauce was not well blended. It felt like they had already cooked the sauce separately, then just steamed the fish and served it without mixing the flavors properly.

Since visiting this restaurant, my entire family has suffered from food poisoning. We have been experiencing diarrhea and vomiting for the past two days. I will definitely file a complaint with the food authorities. This will be my first and last visit to this restaurant. I believe that because the place was too crowded, they rushed the cooking and simply brought the food out carelessly....

The worst dining experience ever in my life. Will never go again. Went for cny eve dinner, reached before 5pm as per booking. Food is only served around 7.15pm after several reminders. Pre order has been made way in advance and the dishes I ordered are basically in their cny menu and I’m pretty sure that they have been prepared in advanced. I can list down the dishes for the public to judge if it’s worth 2hours of waiting time. braised shark fin soup, braised abalone, fish maw and broccoli, lapmeifan which all these have been prepared in advance. Steamed fish (max 20-30min?) my advice to this restaurant is please don’t accept orders if your kitchen can’t cope with the crowd....

Went there for lunch, as a colleague is buying us lunch.

Air-conditioned inside and service staff were fast to attend to our table maybe it was lunch and there was a lesser crowd compared to night dinner. and it's weekdays anyhow.

Food taste, seems to be dropped a bit compared to last visit and so far acceptable only, nothing to shout about. None one dish stands out for me as my remembrance moment.

Price wise not sure as this round colleague pays for the meal.

By the way, the abalone is self bought and top up ourself, so the dish is with prawn ball only, the white abalone is own add on.
