Place: SUPER COLD air-conditioned place with HUGE space and ample seats (easily 20 tables) and great for wedding events and large occasions. The toilet is ok and cleanliness was good. No flies or cockraoches seen.
Service: waiter was very fast and took our orders almost immediately upon arrival (but there were only 3 other tables occupied). Food arrived fairly fast, around 15 to 20mins after ordering. Tea refills were prompt albeit still needed calling when the hall was filled to more than 50% occupancy of tables.
Food: the price was a little steep but considering the quality of food it served, I'll say its well worth it.
Fried Tilapia fish in Thai sauce: the fish was a live fish and fried to crispy perfection with the thai sauce complementing it well. The fish meat were already cut out in chuncks which made picking it a peach and ease for eating. Loved that they separated the honey dip on the side. Verdict: would recommend ordering this for fried fish lovers!!
Wine soaked steamed prawns: wow!! The blend of wine, ginger, chilli: with the freshness of the prawns and the richness of the broth was just "throat-burning"ly excellent!! The only down side was the volume of broth given and the piercing-ness of the broth. Verdict: loved it! Would order again.
Fried pork with chili sauce: the prok was fried to yet another crispy perfection. The moisture was well locked in despite being fried. Verdict: could have had another sauce beside chilli to go with this dish, but still OK.
Fried taufu with petola: not my favourite dish as I don't really care for either ingredients used here, but those who loved the ingredients loved this dish. Verdict: no comment.
Scallop and brocoli: scallop was pan fried just right and the colouring on the surface was a little pale but still well cooked. A stapled dish and one that many love. Verdict: ok la.
Mixed vege with lotus foot: standard vege dish that warrants no introduction, needs no explanation and could hardly go wrong. Verdict: vege lovers, have a go.
Chicken herbal soup: the richness and flavour of the soup was heavenly and not too heaty/heavy for my taste. Verdict: appreciated this soup a lot as the richness was...

Formerly Known as "Restoran Hei Loi Tan Kajang".. This is the biggest restaurant around Kajang area.. And it offers ample parking and spacious hall for dining (good for weddings too). Packed on a Saturday, this place is great for family dining. Overall, the food is pretty good and prices are reasonable. Food comes faster than fast food restaurants.
We tried many dishes, some good some bad... Firstly.. The Salted Egg Calamari (4.4 🌟) is really good... Simply delicious as the salted egg taste was well blended with spiciness from the chili. Then there is the kids friendly Sweet & Sour Pork (4 🌟) which unfortunately don't come with those usual HK styled crispy outer layer but he meat was tender and well blended with sweet and sour sauce.
A dissapointment was the Steamed Catfish (Bak Sou Gong) 2 🌟 which was fresh but the smell of mud was still too strong. Also the meat was overcooked.. Generally bad. Then we tried the Lo Hon Chai (Vegetarian) 4 🌟 which was really good... Balancing the meal nicely. Generally we enjoyed our dinner and will probbaly visit again the next time we are near Kajang.

Read moreRestoran Fui Chuai in Sungai Chua is a well-known Chinese banquet-style restaurant that delivers both in terms of food quality and atmosphere. The setting is elegant and spacious, making it ideal for large family dinners, weddings, or festive gatherings. The restaurant feels more upscale than you'd expect from the surrounding area, with chandeliers, round tables, and a proper stage and LED screen for events.
Food-wise, Fui Chuai impresses with well-executed classic Chinese dishes. Their pre-ordered soups are a must-try—rich, flavorful, and slow-cooked to perfection. Other recommended dishes include the salted egg calamari, steamed fish, Iberico pork ribs, and stir-fried vegetables. Portions are generous, and the presentation is neat.
Service is generally attentive and professional, though it can be a bit slow during peak hours or large events. Prices are fair given the quality and setting. The restaurant also offers set menus for group dining or festive seasons, which are reasonably priced.
The only downsides are limited parking and occasional wait times during busy periods. That said, Fui Chuai remains one of Kajang’s top spots for traditional Chinese cuisine in a comfortable and classy...
