[Visited on 19/1/2022] This park was opened in recent years by the local municipal council. It’s a great place for family gatherings, casual sports activities such as running, cycling, physical workouts, group activities like Zumba, even kite flying, etc. Peak hours are generally 7am-8am (the most comfortable weather for most) and 5pm-7pm in the evening. Fortunately, the parking slots are sufficient, if not, cars can also be parked at the side of the road. There is one parking slot designated for OKUs, and even a specially designed pathway to enter the park. The operating hours mentioned on the board is from 7am to 7pm, but I think it’s not a big deal to visit earlier or later. But do note that if you visit at night, there is no lighting at all.
The facilities of the park are generally pretty well-maintained, the running and cycling track, the workout facilities, the “pondok”, the children playground, the square/assembly points. One downside would be the lack of washrooms, there are no washrooms available there. That’s why I would rate it a 4/5 ⭐.
I love the track, personally. Intervals of 100 meters are displayed through signboards throughout the track. It covers a total displayed distance of up to 1200 meters. But if you were to run a full circle (through the parking slots), it probably gonna be around 1300 meters per round. For cyclists, it may not be the best experience to cycle there especially during the peak hours as the track is not really wide to afford runners with cyclists, just be careful if you want to. Other than that, there are also plentiful benches and around 6 “pondok” available along the lakeside, so you could enjoy the peaceful and relaxing view of the lake!
I have included an image of the signboard displaying all the prohibited activities, do refer to it. Fishing is not allowed, according to the provision. However, the enforcement is not really strict (I think?), as there are still people fishing around the lake, like all the time. Do it at your own risk.
Generally, it’s a very good choice for regular exercise, for relaxing, for family gatherings such as picnics. It is really relaxing while sitting beside the lake and enjoying the view. You can safely make your choice to pay...
Read moreFor a community park, this is good. One loop about 1km + or around 1400 steps, clearly marked. Best time to come is morning and evening but noon time can still find people flying kites or fishing (prohibited). Free carpark with capacity about 50 space. It has some gazebos along the track and some benches too. Good cycling track in line with walking/jogging track. Also some stone path for foot massage. Hope the park will be maintained well, especially frequent clearing of rubbish as there is bad odour from the bins. And the public, please keep this place clean and the gym equipments in good condition. Just a note, "ulat bulu" worms are sighted under a twin trees. Not sure where they come from. Becareful as they cause severe itchiness. Remember to scan the SELANGKAH upon...
