Extremely Disappointing Experience - Poor Service and Unhygienic Conditions
I recently had an incredibly unpleasant experience at this restaurant, and I feel compelled to share my disappointment. Upon arriving, I asked one of the staff members if they served rice, and I was confidently told that they did. However, after waiting for approximately 30 minutes, the same lady approached me to inform me that they only had two portions of rice left. I was taken aback, as I had specifically asked about rice when I first arrived.
To make matters worse, when the rice finally arrived, it was ice cold. Concerned for my health, especially as I am pregnant, I inquired about when it had been cooked, only to be told that it was newly cooked. It made me wonder if they were serving rice that had been stored in the fridge, which could potentially lead to food poisoning.
During this discussion, the staff seemed disinterested and unresponsive, choosing to walk around instead of addressing our concerns. At one point, a person claiming to be a manager approached us, but as my husband voiced his dissatisfaction with the rice, this individual simply walked away, muttering something inaudible like "you mau makan, tak mau pergi."
The overall environment of the restaurant was subpar, with pre-cooked soups placed on every empty table (a serious hygiene issue). Additionally, the drinks took an excessive amount of time to arrive, further contributing to our frustration. Every staff member we interacted with displayed rudeness and a lack of willingness to assist with our requests.
To put it simply, the level of service we experienced was completely unacceptable for any restaurant. I regret wasting 45 minutes of my time in such an establishment. I strongly advise others to reconsider dining here, as it is clear that customer satisfaction and basic hygiene standards are not a priority...
Read moreThe set menu for 3-4 is very small, and it costs RM69.90, which is not worth it. (I can finish it within myself or with a partner)
Unlimited for RM14.90 comes with a caveat. You have to wait for the meat again and again. Each waiting time between 5 to 10 mins or even more. It ended up having a queue of 10 people waiting just for the meat. Imagine having to queue for 1 plate of meat, then as soon as you finish up (about 12 to 20 slices of pork belly slice, bear in mind we came as a table of 4, technically each of us only have 3 to 5 slices and have to wait again), you have to queue again.
Worst unlimited meat/ buffett I have ever encountered. I would rather go elsewhere and have some set menus/ a la carte basis mookata.
Environment wise, if you are seated in the centre of the restaurant or the inner bit, you will be accompanied by the smoke from everyone's mookata from the minute you sit until the minute you leave. The floor is extremely oily, and I can't blame them as I suppose every mookata's floor are not much better than them, but by far,...
Read moreMy recent visit to AJJ Mookata with my friend left me with mixed feelings, primarily due to the subpar service and uncomfortable dining conditions.
Let's start with the service—ordering a simple refill turned into a tedious task. Despite opting for the buffet package, it took an excruciating 30 minutes each time we requested a refill, be it for cabbage or meat. This not only disrupted the flow of our meal but also left us feeling neglected. The staff appeared indifferent to our requests, and the prolonged wait times were a significant drawback.
Adding to the discomfort was the lack of air ventilation. Although the restaurant utilizes ash as the heat source, the absence of proper ventilation made the dining area stuffy and smoky. It was disappointing to find ourselves engulfed in a cloud of smoke throughout the meal, which detracted from the overall dining experience.
While the food quality and variety were commendable, the slow service and lack of proper ventilation considerably overshadowed...
