Note- this place does not serve halal food and does not have air-cond. Either you dress for "summer" or be prepared to get "steamed". ๐
This whole restaurant is very airy with fans, totally open-air, with outdoors seating having the tables slightly lower than normal height. If you like outdoors ambience and dont mind hunching over for dinner, its suitable for you. Otherwise indoors seating is better. Tables are nicely spaced apart which is good for current covid dine-in SOP ๐
There are 2 types of soup, the bone broth and the popular hot and sour. Actually the hot and sour isnt spicy, it reminds me of "ham choy" soup and really wets your appetite ๐
There are sets to order, or you can also do ala carte. The cooking is self-service on the hot pot and the oils from the meat cooking will drip into the soup, making it very flavorful ๐ so the tip is to enjoy the soup after some time of cooking meat! I also realised that i did not need to order the drink, since the soup was very nice and i hardly touched my Thai Green tea at all.
Waiters are very efficient and friendly ๐ ample parking outside the restaurant,...
ย ย ย Read moreLove the vibe about this place even though there is nothing resemblence to Thailand mookata. However, what makes the difference is the crew! Totally love the enthusiasm and the energy of the crew! Well done!
Food is nothing special, but its the huge bbq and steamboat pot that made the difference. Completely awed by the sheer size of the pot. Not to mention it is reasonably priced as well. Restaurant was brightly lit, spacious and comfortable. The semi alfresco tables were not to my liking as they were too low. Great for kids, but not so for adults.
The cute bus at the entrance is insta worthy and the lively pop songs blasting over the speakers definitely played a role in the ambient. By the way, the songs selection were in no way Thai origins, and diners can sing to the songs.
Overall, expect typical mookata food but most defi itely enjoy the vibe in this place!

ย ย ย Read moreThis mookata place is a gem indeed. The place is pretty with some insta worthy deco ie. A bus and a spinning tower fan at the courtyard while the interior with indoor and outdoor is brightly lit. Interior had a big fan and temp was still ok with the bbq. I had a meat set at RM55 with my choice of jin jum pork, bacon, pork slices each. The meat was a pleasant surprise as its very well marinated and tasted really good. There was also unlimited refills of cabbage and tong fun. Depending on how much you can eat, I felt the price was decent and a rather enjoyable meal. You could also go for their buffet which is 36.90 per pax. Definitely will come here for mookata...
