The portion of fish meat fried mihun getting smaller, an the steamboat ingredients just normal Chinese steamboat shop freshness, you can't hope for fresh ingredients provided like Shabu Shabu shop out there ..and kind of slightly increasing of price? Not so sure, but less attractive for me now...

It used to be one of our fave steamboat restaurants before all we got to know all the hotpot franchises. Revisited this place post COVID and realised they have some new broth so we tried the pork bone soup which is a safer choice. However, it wasn't as good as expected and I should have just ordered their clear soup! It's no longer as crowded as it used to be. I’ve been visiting this shop since 20 years ago, but I stopped going two years back. The service had gone downhill, portions got smaller, and the worst part — they started charging extra if you requested freshly fried shallot oil (葱头油). They replaced it with a commercial Thai version, and when we asked for the freshly fried one, they charged an extra RM2.

They don’t seem to realise that many customers come back for the authentic taste — especially the good葱头油. Since then, I’ve boycotted the place and...
