Guys Uncle Tan here. Disclaimer I certainly don't consider myself a sushi person - so this review would be less on the food itself and more on the experience at this restaurant.
First up, the price point. For 3 sushis and an unagi rice bowl (ik, ik - unagi is exotic thus expensive), it costs about RM50 to my wallet, which is still arguably expensive considering the fact that this restaurant sits at the non-premium range besides larger and more well-known sushi chain like Hanare.
The food is, subjectively, comparable to Sushi King, with maybe the perks of its varieties. However, I do personally and specifically indulge the taste of shrimp sushi - it was really tender, squishy and topped with really fragrant garlic dressing. Unagi was a just meh - it tasted perhaps like a accentualized salmon. Not too bad, but nothing really to shout about.
Atmosphere-wise was a big plus point. It is crafted with very traditional-style Japanese curtains and the room is well-spaced. If you would like to bring along your other part, family, or even just friends to hangout, the seatings and atmosphere was a perfect match. Nothing too fancy, nothing too less. Just a sweet fusion of Japanese air and modern music.
Overall, I won't really pay another visit to this place as I'm not a sushi person from the start. The atmosphere and food and everything decent. And if you really fancy food consistently in motion, circling around you waiting for you to be pick,

Read moreWe went there for dinner on 16 February 2024 around 5:30pm. When we arrived it was not crowded, just 3 tables of customers. We ordered food around 5:45pm and it took forever to get our food but when we just finished our food, one middle aged woman with crossed arm walked to our table and started cleaning right away and kept sighing. By then, there’s no one queuing outside and not all tables are taken yet. She then circling around our table signaled us to leave and so we decided to go pay the bill and leave that place. At the cashier, she kept rolling her eyes on us and kept sighing AGAIN, not even a thank you after paying her the “service charge”. Other waiters and waitresses were okay just this woman was extremely rude. (Could be the boss’s wife) won’t be there anymore unless that woman kick herself out of that restaurant.
Food was okay but they sliced the teriyaki chicken into super thin cutlets and no soy sauce was provided. In fact, they’re quite stingy with their sauces.

Read moreAnother worse experience at a Japanese restaurant. Had a few sushi and for dessert a matcha ice cream. First of all, the waiters were very inattentive and rude. We were given an order sheet to write down our orders. Once we decided our orders, we tried to call for the waiter but no one responded. The male staff who attended us was really unfriendly and disrespectful. We waited for almost half an hour for just 2 types of sushi and 1 ice cream. We even had to ask for our order to be served!! The food however was good and I was quite enjoying it until the dessert was served. The matcha ice cream didn't taste as good as a real matcha ice cream and in between the were ice pieces?!! I mean I know it's ice cream but small ice pieces in the ice cream is a bit weird to be honest. When we were done with the meal, I asked for the bill to make a payment but even that took at least 5 mins to arrive. Overall experience wasn't too good but I might go back just for the food and why not, I might just give them another chance...
