华旺蒸鱼头 Hua Wang Steamed Fish Head — Restaurant in Klang Municipal Council

First off, it's one of those places you fill up a little order slip. We missed that and got scolded by the Indonesian lady working there. I can safely say that THERE IS A MORE PLEASANT WAY TO TELL US THAT! We spoke to the lady boss and she apologized though.

I ordered 4 of the 5 signature dishes on the front page of their menu. Chicken wings were hot and crispy even though they didn't use very fresh chicken. Nam yee ribs were quite ordinary and the steamed lala broth was sweeter than most although the lala were small and overcooked. Steamed eggs were also overcooked but edible. I could have done the same in a MICROWAVE!

We ordered the bean paste steamed fish and it was a good flavor. After much consultation around the table, it was agreed that the funny smell was the smell of bean paste and that nothing was off, in case you encounter a similar situation. I'll be back for just the steamed...

Food is quite nice if you order the right dishes like the assam fish, steam egg and vege. Some food may be abit salty like the bean paste fish. Price is also affordable around rm20-rm40 per person depending on what you order. Food is fresh and portion is bigger than most places. If you go after peak hours thn waiting time is around 20mins but during peak hours be prepared to wait 1hour.All payment is via cash or e-wallet. No card accepted.
