This is a very happening cafe, huge variety of choices in foods and drinks is the main attraction here.

Upon tasting of signature rendang chicken rice and spicy up crispy chicken rice, found it quite ordinary. The chicken lacks tenderness and the taste isn't outstanding in any sort. However the sambal that comes with it is quite good which is the best condiment in these dishes. Bubur cha cha is very generous in ingredients with good control in sweetness which is very good, while the peach gum dessert has no significant peach gum in it(almost not present, maybe dissolved in the dessert once over cooked). Nonetheless, coffee is very good here too. Before leaving, we also bought a caramel banana for RM23 which later on tasted quite crunchy and not overly sweet. Those paos which are sold in this kopitiam have very fine quality and are worth a try for take away.

Second visit, we tried char siew+roasted pork+ steam chicken rice, prawn mee with roasted meat, chicken+clams curry noodle & toast bread. Overall taste is above average with a large portion of noodles and fresh ingredients. Prawn mee soup is quite good but curry mee broth so so. Char siew is very good but the rest is average. The toast bread lacks crunchiness.

Overall this kopitiam still has room for improvement in terms of food quality. While I can see the shop owner is very concerned with the service and well-being by constantly serving the customers themselves, I think they should put even more focus on how to take a step further on food quality(taste). Merging with good pricing, it will make this cafe a favorite hotspots for...

Been here once, that’s it. Will never step in again. Firstly, we (my wife and I), went there on Saturday morning at 9.30am. We could not find the entrance door. We asked the girls who manned the food outside, their faces were just blank. Can’t blame them as they are from Myanmar. We just find our way. We noticed a lady worker seated at one corner busy with her handphone, playing games I supposed. She never look at us. Same like others. Busy doing their own things. Nobody greet us and nobody gave us the menu.

We wrote down what we wanted to order. So we took the chit and gave it to the boy in the payment counter. Everyone was so busy when they have only a handful of customers.

We ordered a curry mee with roast pork, a curry mee with cockles (siham) and poached chicken, roti bakar and kaya, and 2 cups of coffee. Verdict:- (1) curry mee with roasted pork. It was bland. The roast pork was yesterday’s or the days before. It is not fresh and it was damn hard. (2) curry mee with siham and poached chicken. The taste was bland. The siham was so small and you can count them. The poached chicken was yesterday’s one. (3) the coffee was hot but taste awful (4) only the roti bakar was good

For this, we pay pricey fees for pathetic meal and lousy service in this restaurant. We will never step in this hopeless...

This restaurant claims to be affiliated/related with the famed Tuck Kee of Ipoh. After trying out their signature dishes, I can safely say it's almost identical. Coincidentally I just returned from Ipoh 2 days earlier and had the "Wat Tan Hor" or Fried Kuey Teow with Egg Gravy. To my surprise it tasted similarly to how it was many years ago. The original Tuck Kee Ipoh today is much stronger tasting, saltier and has that sweet after taste. 8 Kopitiam's version is spot on with right balance of umaminess, lardiness and it's less starchy. Even the sambal that that came with it tasted almost the same except that it's less spicy which is good. The other highlight we tried is the "Yue Kwong Hor" or Moonlight Kuey Teow. This is probably one of the best in KL, no kidding. It's got that good wok hei, came out piping hot and the moment you mix the raw egg, it becomes a very rewarding plate of Hokkien Fried style-like except that it's creamy smooth. Every bite is seriously satisfying. Pair it with the sambal for that slightly sour and spicy kick. Hands down my #1 choice between the two. Drinks selection is not bad but do remind them to tone down on the sugar. My Cincau drink was quite sweet that it gave me a sugar rush. Overall this kopitiam does live it up to their claims and I do seriously recommend...

Came here for dinner and will never ever come again. This shop is a swindler. The 咸鱼花腩煲 so small dish (only one person portion) cost rm25 and its not even in a Claypot! Steam fish head (normal 松鱼头)only half the fish head and cost so expensive We ordered 清炒菜胆, then they gave us boiled 油麦 with onion oil. Ask the waiter only she told us we only have boiled vegetables here we don't have fry one, and the vegetable we give you all is more expensive one, forcing us to accept the wrong order that was already cooked. Of course you give is expensive dish and charge us expensive also 😒😒😒 One big rice cost rm3 and cannot even feed one person. Keep selling us their chicken which half of the chicken already cost rm60 and one full chicken cost rm120! They so called themselves from Tuck Kee Ipoh but they don't dare to use the name of it and the food was just avaerage.. Liar 😡😡 Please do not believe that their place is spacious and cosy.. the place is so cramp and the table is so narrow. Definitely not a good place for family and just want to sell their expensive things so called from Tuck Kee. If you want cosy and cheap place, I can name tons of it. Definitely more worth than here
