Recently went to check out Fishee the place and the singer.
Bear in mind, was told, those who made reservation must make 1 order from each person at the table. Wasnt hungry at that time so feel i'm force to choose something reluctantly. My spouse had that Nasi lemak Rendang Cow Cow which turns out ok. I had their Sourdough bread top with Cajun Prawn. Prawn is nicely done! Bread is good. Wanted to try their waffle so much but not available but the highlight to me is their Honey Bee milk 😂 thats really yummy. Though is a place where jazz or bossa performances played but if you are a drinker, if u want to pair your drink with good music lol, the choice of alcohol is super limited. The coffee menu seems to be calling you out more, not everyone can sleep at nite once took coffee. So to say is more to a cafe bar with song performances. Is not like most other bar. Didnt even know they have wine in a 1st place unless u go right up to the counter but menu was given earlier at the table where u were seated. Wine is not printed in the menu. Advice to read what is written everywhere around you when you enter the cafe lol, the wall, the coffee counter before the menu. Abit of a commotion and inconveniences as the seatings around is small and crampy. The choice of furniture, the colour, plants, ambience is indeed cozy for the speak easy performaces. I am surprise audiences were mostly discilpine with less talk and just listen to the singer with much respect except the table next to me with the 2 ladies yapping away. I wish if they are not there for music then they should just go somewhere instead.
Lastly i just wish the cafe bar what ever they are making, should be done further away. Is noisy and spoils the performances. That poor guy voice is already soft and the blender sound spoils it while i was recording him. Cant even share to my social app. Whole experience is just everywhere 😝 just...
Read moreI was there for an event. Texted them around 8pm to make reservations. They replied during midnight for reservation details and stated that I should check again for availability with them before I make payment because as of midnight that day, they still have available seats. Ignored the red flag as I really wanted to attend the event. made my food order of their famous beef bowl and a carrot walnut cake and tea. the beef bowl was served almost an hour later. after taking my dinner, requested for my dessert, the cake to be served. they brought me banana cake telling me carrot has sold out. there were few sliced lying around when I place and pay for it. shouldn't they make proper reservation for food that was already sold? I told the waiter NO,I DON'T WANT CARROT CAKE. He went back to his work and I was totally ignored until I called on the waiter and showed him the receipt that I've paid, and asked them whether they sold my cake to someone else. they replied that it was already sold out when I order. Careless or not,it was a mistake. He then told me he will ask his boss. Then another waitress comes back to me telling me whether I'll accept refund since I don't want any replacement, while the boss just sit behind the bar doing God know what. honestly, this will be the first and last time I'm stepping into this cafe. Food quality was just mediocre, really. Beef and rice comes in a bread bowl with a few bread crust on the side. not sure whether they are just deco,or meant to be eaten.it was too hard to be eaten anyway. food wasn't good enough to make me tolerate the service and how things are...
Read moreOkay, the only reason I'm even giving this place 2 stars is because I enjoyed the atmosphere and interior design. Everything else was subpar. Me and mine ordered: the Moo Moo Bun the Big Breakfast the Egg and Mayo Honey Mustard Charcoal sandwich and 2 hot chocolates + 1 cappuccino Lemme just start with the Big Breakfast, bc that was the most disappointing out of all of them. They gave us a whole, near-uncooked tomato. The salad tasted old as hell, and the sourdough bread- oh my god, the fricking sourdough bread!! Hard as John Cena's pecs. The Moo Moo Bun was sad and small and the beef strips (bacon substitute) were tough and chewy. The Egg and Mayo Honey Mustard Charcoal sandwich wasn't too horrendous, thank god, as my brother managed to swallow it down (mind you, he did so half-heartedly and with a grimace on his face the ENTIRE time). The service was 50/50; there was a really friendly waiter who smiled at us the whole time, and on the flip side, a cashier that looked like he wanted to do anything else BUT work there. Obviously, idm why people work where they do, but c'mon, at least look at people when they're paying?? Me and mine were planning on getting the Chocolate Waffle as a lil dessert after we had our food, but after our experience with the food and the cashier, we left as soon as we could. Oh, and, it gets worse by the way! They charge you a SVC Charge of 10% AND THEN a SST of 6%. For what??? Definitely not the "service". I ain't stingy about paying, but gosh, I wanna get what I pay for. It's in my consumer rights, hello?? Never coming...
