Ahh-Yum (Bukit Damansara) — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

Love this place. So near to my office and gym so location is awesome. Parking shouldn't be a problem here. Went here for dinner post gym and had the curry laksa with yellow noodle, was so good that I reserved seats for a group lunch the next day itself. I'm allergic to cockles so I really appreciate places with curry mee sans cockles. For lunch the next day I had the nasi ahh-mah golden butter chicken (rm9.90 as of mar 2019) which was a steal right in bukit damansara! It was good, but I would have preferred it to be a bit less spicy for my low heat super tolerance, nevertheless it was good! Friends had the nasi ahh-mah chicken and potato, nasi ahh-mah kung pao chicken (no pics), ahh-yum chop, mihun siam with prawn and chicken (no pics) and nasi lemak basmathi with sambal sotong (no pics as well). We also had the Tofu Ahh-Yum which is essentially tauhu begedil. This is a must try, the filling is creamy and plenty, the tofu crispy, definitely ahh-so-yum! Regretfully there was a shortage of electricity towards the end of lunch, but they were very apologetic and quick to offer gratis ice water for us to cool down. Anyway, if you are into coffee I was told the kopi kampong hot is nice. It comes with these peanut cookie bar thing which could test friendship (I don't drink coffee but like to steal bites of the cookie from my friend) haha. We came here for lunch with Eidlan, to entertain him while Mommy & Daddy were attending a Wedding Reception at Pusat Komuniti Bukit Damansara. Luckily we had been visiting him daily while in the hospital, so things went along very well. But still, Aky Daddy & Pah Mummy had a field day putting up with his antics..😍😍

We had wanted to sit at a long table, which was a bit further than the air cond being serviced by a service contractor, especially when we had Eidlan with us. The waiter said it was reserved..Fine..But as we were placed right next to the aircond, a family of 4 was allowed to sit there instead!! And the long table could easily accomodate all of us comfortably...☹☹

My wife ordered the Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken, which she actually shared with Eidlan. I wanted to have the Mutton Soup set lunch, but unfortunately they had ran out, or so they said..🙄🙄

I ended up eating the Short Ribs Soup with rice instead, which was quite nice and tasty actually.

Eidlan was enjoying himself so much, and didnt seem to miss his Mommy & Daddy...

The restaurant is not too crowded, suitable for meetup and work. Great for a quiet tea time.

I like Ah Yumm food in general but I think they should be more creative with their menu as its getting somewhat too common.

I suggest the cekodok pisang to be less sweet.

I also would like to suggest not to serve roti bakar the way they do now because its messy for customers (plain toast cut into four as it is - is a bit dry when you separate with kaya and butter - and messy for customer to put on the kaya butter on the toast).

I am sorry if i say this but during my visit I saw a few staff were eating at the customers dining table. I am ok with this but would recommend the mgmt to have a dedicated staff dining area so the outlet looks more...
