Ayam Geprek Resipi | Desa Pandan — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

I attempted to visit this particular branch a few weeks ago and waited for 20 minutes (operating hours on Google and front door shows 11AM) but the grill doors were not even unlocked. Thinking it was bad luck - I attempted another visit few weeks after and made sure to arrive before noon (around 11:45am) but the employees simply hand signalled me from the cashiers desk saying they are closed without approaching me at their front door to clarify what I wanted to know. I assume they are either closed for the public or they just don’t care and appreciate their customers time and effort to support their business. But thank you Ayam Geprek Resipi! Because of you I discovered Pak Gembus which is only 5 minutes away with polite, punctual employees and good spicy food :) Won’t try to visit this shop again.

Update : I dropped this review and decided to check out what other people had to say about this branch - and I guess there is a good reason why I never had the opportunity...

I had a fantastic lunch at Ayam Geprek Pandan! The ayam geprek was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, paired with fluffy white rice and their incredible sambal. The best part? Free refills of sambal and rice – such a generous offering!

The sambal had just the right amount of heat and flavor, elevating the whole dish to a new level. The portion size was perfect, and the fresh sides like tempeh, cabbage, and cucumber added a refreshing touch to the meal.

Not bad. For those who like spicy food you should try this one. Their menu is included with the free drink. You can choose either teh o, sirap or sunquick. For the sambal, if you’re not so into spicy sambal, you may add the peanut sauce. It will reduce and turn down the heat of the spiciness. Btw the side dish like gizzard, tempeh are always serve cold.
