Was introduced to BB by a vegetarian friend and I can understand why :) the vegetarian food here is delicious, reasonably priced and offers flat rate price of all you can eat of the banana leaf base options. Banana leaf comes with 4 choices of curry, all you can eat vegetarian side dishes, papadums and white rice. I had the lunch special which has a choice of meat dish as an-add on with an option to upgrade the rice to briyani. The fried gourd 👍 butter chicken 👍 the raita (a little watery) 👍 the pumpkin pasty dish 👍 staff service is fast and efficient and clean. Teh tarik served with a nice presentation of a fluffy head of froth- I ordered less sweet but still quite sweet so I would recommend maybe ordering with no sugar. Customer service is brisk, efficient and tables are cleared and cleaned like a well oiled machine by the male staff. The place is popular for all kinds of patrons from young teens schoolies to families and work colleagues having their lunch break, and cater for those that opt for vegetarian or hallal requirements. Highly recommended and beware the lunch crowd - it’s pact to the brim!!!

We had unpleasant experience here as well as what other reviewers said. 6 of us came here for a light dinner before we drive back to our hometown . So we just ordered 3 sets of banana leaf to share among 6 of us . But we did order a few Ala carte food like sotong , petai , prawn , vegetable and chicken . The staff said we can’t refill anything at all if we are sharing . But we just want to order extra white rice and we are willing to pay for it as the rice served on the banana leaf is very little . I guess they know we are sharing that’s why they just give us a small scoop of rice . They said we can’t order extra rice which I doubted about it and I asked again . Thank God they allowed it If not I would make a complaint there . The food quality is very low and it’s not fresh . The chicken varuval is so spicy and most of it are bones instead of meat . The petai dish is so spicy as well . And the staff here are not efficient and we have to keep calling them for order and cleaning the place . I think the management should train the service staff more efficient and attentive to customers . And the place here is not very clean . Overall rating 5/10

I always enjoy the pumpkin puree at BananaBro. On 22nd October 2024, I visited BananaBro at around 3:30 pm. When the rice arrived, the waiter, Rian, politely informed us that the pumpkin puree was no longer available. I felt a bit disappointed because I was really looking forward to having it with my meal today. However, after a while, Rana, the supervisor who was extremely attentive and thoughtful came to our table with a small bowl of pumpkin puree. He explained that it was actually reserved for his own lunch, but out of kindness and generosity, he was more than happy to share it with me and my husband. Awww… it was indeed the best pumpkin puree I’ve ever had, not just because of the taste, but also because of the wonderful care and attention we received from Rana and Rian. Their excellent service truly made our day unforgettable.

BananaBro..? More like Banana Bomb. Let's not talk about the bad service I had. I want to focus on the food. All I can say is BananaBro does a great dis-service to authentic banana leaf meals. It's the pirated version of the banana leaf meals. Really, if you can't do it right, don't do it at all. Let me be specific. Let's start with the banana leave they placed on the table. It was yellowing and torn. Talk about first impressions. Then the rice was rough and not washed well. The sambar tasteless; rasam like lemon squeeze; limited vegetables selections; the cucumber is salty and the nail in the coffin is,the price is RM 12.90 for the set,BUT the milk curd is an extra RM 1. What?? I would say give BananaBro a skip Bro, and visit an authentic Banana leaf restaurant for a better experience.

First visit to BananaBro which serves banana leaf style rice located at the highest floor of Mid Valley megamall. Service was prompt and staff were attentive. Overall experience was good. The dishes were reasonably priced with reasonable portions provided. The taste is quite up to standard except that the curry sauce was slightly diluted. It would be great if the sauce could be served thicker. The fried squid was good and they served one of the best ice lemon tea. The only concern is the unlimited side dishes were given to each table for self-service which is good but hope that the staff doesn't just refill them and serve them to another table otherwise that would be very unhygienic.

I recently dined at Banana Bro's and was blown away(diagonally🤣) by their family combo for two. The Chicken 65 was perfectly crispy and flavorful, and the fried squid rings were a delightful treat. Upgrading to Biriyani rice was a great choice—the aroma and rich flavors were outstanding. We also switched our drinks to teh Tarik ice Kurang Kurang manis, which added a creamy, authentic finish to our meal. The waiters, especially Rakiv, were friendly and cheerful, enhancing our dining experience. Banana Bro's delivered an exceptional experience with delicious food and excellent service. Highly recommended for a good banana leaf dining experience!
