Breakfast dates have always been our favourite, not because we’re early risers 🫣 but we have always enjoyed and appreciated good English breakfast! ☕️🍳🥞
Who wouldn’t like creamy scrambled eggs or soft poached eggs with rich hollandaise.
Antipodean at mid valley was a random find when I was looking for a place for quick breakfast before we head to the theatre. Our quick stop turned into a long meal! 🥰
Located outside the mall (in the outer ring), this cafe has both indoor and outdoor seating. If you’re going for breakfast or brunch specially during weekends, you better be early. The wait time may range anything between 5 - 15 minutes depending on the crowd.
The menu Eggs Benedict—I usually refrain from ordering eggs Benedict or anything with hollandaise after I moved here because they never get the hollandaise or the poached egg right 😅. This one was an exception. The hollandaise was creamy, the eggs cooked perfectly with the yolk oozing out, and the English muffin was toasted just fine! Big breakfast—creamy scrambled eggs cooked just right, hash browns were golden fried on the outside and soft on the inside (was too bland for me, potato wasn’t well seasoned, so ate this with some ketchup), chicken sausage (definitely one of the best chicken sausages and didn’t taste like processed meat), and the fresh lettuce and corn, crunchy toast and butter made it a wholesome meal! Hot chocolate—This was rich, chocolatey and creamy, the chocolate wasn’t too dark and bitter and still had sweetness. Chocolate brownie—The brownie had a crunch on the outside and was soft on the inside, and screamed chocolate and cocoa powder with every bite. Mushroom pasta - pasta was a little bland and had very less salt (I added salt from the table) but has the mushroom flavor to it.
Cost for two—RM100++
Wait time—15 - 20 mins (your beverages arrive early, but food is freshly prepared I assume so it does take some time). Recommend to allow yourself atleast an hour to dine here😁
Will I go back again—YES, definitely want to try their burgers and pizzas
Service—the people waiting tables are extremely busy when it’s crowded so you have to make sure you have their attention if you need something! But everyone around is very helpful.
Overall it was a great...

Antipodean is no stranger to most people, but this Mid Valley branch really stood out and pleasantly surprised us! ✨
From the moment we walked past, the staff warmly welcomed us and guided us to a spacious and comfortable seat. The overall dining experience was smooth and enjoyable 👏.
📲 The menu is accessed via QR code, and what makes it great is that each dish comes with actual photos, making it easier to decide. Just be prepared—it’s quite a few pages long, featuring everything from breakfast, French toast, pizza, pasta, burgers, salads, kebabs, soups to bagels. It felt like flipping through a food encyclopedia! 😋
🥯 Egg Marlborough with Smoked Salmon – RM33 The presentation was stunning! The perfectly poached eggs, rich hollandaise sauce, and crispy multigrain toast, topped with generous slices of smoked salmon, made every bite satisfying. The fresh side salad completed the dish wonderfully. A truly hearty meal that kept us full till dinner! 🍽️
🐟 Fish & Chips – RM36 We were shocked by the portion size—super generous! The batter was crispy and golden, while the fish inside was fresh and tender. The fries were clearly freshly made—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. A great value dish!
☕ Flat White – RM15 Beautiful latte art, with a strong, fragrant coffee aroma. The milk foam was smooth and velvety, pairing perfectly with our mains.
✅ Overall Rating: 📍 Wide and varied menu with something for everyone 📍 Friendly service and cozy environment 📍 Reasonably priced with generous portions and great quality
Highly recommend checking out this branch, especially if you’re...
Read moreHad the Big Breakfast (RM25), Cheese Mushroom Omelette (RM21), Scrambled Eggs on toast with feta and spinach (RM18), French toast with caramalised banana and crispy bacon (RM24) and a chocolate muffin (RM10). Also tried their latte, cappicini and americano.
Servings are generally generous but not overly so. Service is rather fast but one weird approach is to put the menu online! Or you can read from the huge black board. Very impressive menu from such a rather small alfresco cafe. They even have cocktails.
Food is good. There is no extra oumph for a 5 stars but that said, there are many places that do not get it right.
The egg based items were served hot and well presented. They are light on seasoning and this allows you to get the full fragrance of the eggs. I preferred the scrambled egg as compares with the omelette; simple personal prefence. The toasted bread is served with butter (the good type).
The french toast is sweetened by the maple syrup and soft banana and the bacon adds a whiff of balanced savoury flavour.
The muffin was moist and yummy, and the small one totally finished it (helped by all of us who could not resist having a spoonful).
Overall good experience and food. The crowd will...
