As of November 14, 2021, this is one of the greatest malls in the Klang Valley.
I'll say it again: this is one of the greatest malls in Klang Valley, and if you're a shopaholic, you'll spend a lot of money here. Since I was a teenager, this has been my favourite shopping mall because everything is under one roof!
Because the majority of the stores are inexpensive, I would classify this mall as moderate. Beauty & Wellness, Departmental Stores & Supermarkets, Fashion, Food & Beverages, Homes, IT & Photography Gadgets, Kids, Leisure & Entertainment, Sundry & Services, and many other types of stores are available. There are seven levels in all, including parking floors P1 and P2. The parking price is RM2 for 3 hours on weekdays and RM3 for 3 hours on weekends and public holidays.
The best part about this mall is that it is well structured and large, so if we intend to visit on weekends, which are normally congested at most malls, we will find that it is still crowded but not as much as other malls.
If somebody is coming from KL Sentral, this Midvalley Mall is located within the city of KL and may be reached by KTM Train. Cititel Mid Valley, The Gardens, and The Boulevard are just a few of the hotels around the mall.
A&W, Baskin-Robbins, KFC, McDonald's, Pizza Hut, Starbucks Coffee, TeaLive, Haagen-Dazs, Burger King, Hong Kong Kim Gary Restaurant, Secret Recipe, Coffee Bean, Famous Amos, Sushi King, Texas Chicken, The Manhattan Fish Market, and the list goes on are just a few of the well-known food and beverage restaurants. This is the only mall in the Klang Valley with a variety of food and beverage businesses. Here you may find both traditional and local Malaysian cuisine. Food outlets are mostly found on the Lower Ground (LG) floor.
The customer care representatives and security guards are all well-trained and eager to assist customers with any questions they may have. All of the toilets on each floor are maintained clean and hygienic at all times. There are CCTV cameras installed around the mall for security purposes, so there is no need to be concerned about any unpleasant happenings.
Movies, games, a gym, a massage, and so on are all available to you under one roof. Kudos to the mall's management for always staying on top of consumer trends and working hard to bring in the best of the best business tenants that entice visitors to return...
Read moreMid Valley Megamall is one of Kuala Lumpur's largest and most popular shopping destinations, though it's quite different from a traditional tourist attraction like the Petronas Towers.
What it offers: This massive complex houses over 430 stores across multiple levels, including international brands, local retailers, electronics, fashion, and specialty shops. It has an extensive food court, numerous restaurants, a cinema, and connects to The Gardens Mall next door, creating an enormous shopping ecosystem. There's also a convention center and hotels within the complex.
The experience: It's genuinely impressive in scale and can easily consume a full day. The mall is well-maintained, air-conditioned (a relief in KL's heat), and has good variety for different budgets. The food options are particularly strong, offering everything from local Malaysian cuisine to international chains. It's popular with both locals and tourists.
Considerations: Unless you're passionate about shopping or need specific items, it might not be the most culturally enriching tourist experience. It can feel overwhelming due to its size, and navigating between sections takes time. Weekends get very crowded. Some visitors find it lacks the local character you might seek when traveling.
Best for: Serious shoppers, families looking for entertainment options, people seeking air-conditioned respite from the heat, or those wanting to experience local shopping culture. It's also useful for practical needs like electronics, clothing, or grabbing meals.
Mid Valley is worth a visit if shopping appeals to you or you need a break from sightseeing, but it shouldn't be your only KL experience if you're looking for cultural...
Read moreMid Valley Megamall is easily one of my favorite malls in the city. From the moment you step inside, you can feel the vibrant energy — yet it’s spacious enough that it never feels too crowded. The layout is well organized, making it easy to find your way around, even if it’s your first visit.
The shopping options here are fantastic. You’ve got big-name stores like AEON, Daiso, Mr DIY, Uniqlo, Atmos, Sports Direct, Toy R Us, and Habib, offering everything from fashion to essentials. It’s definitely a one-stop destination whether you’re shopping for yourself, the kids, or gifts.
Food lovers will enjoy the variety of restaurants and cafés. I personally love stopping by Chicken Rice Shop, Carl’s Jr, and ZUS Coffee. There’s always something for every craving, whether you want a quick bite or a cozy meal.
If you’re looking for a good haircut or hair treatment, don’t miss La’ Mode Coiffure. It’s a great salon with professional service, perfect for some self-care in the middle of a shopping trip.
The environment here is clean, cozy, and well-maintained. The toilets are clean and they’ve even got a baby room — very convenient for families. The surau is spacious and comfortable too, which makes it easy to plan longer visits without worry.
Parking is usually smooth with a lot of space available, although weekends can get busy.
All in all, Mid Valley Megamall is the kind of place you can spend hours in — shopping, eating, relaxing, or just walking around. It’s truly a mall that offers something...
