I recently made a purchase of over RM120 at your Mid Valley AEON branch using several cash vouchers. Before I completed my purchase, I checked with your staff to confirm if I was still entitled to the 'Buy RM100, Get RM10' promotion. I wanted to know if the minimum purchase amount was RM100 or if it was based on the final payment amount. The staff at the checkout assured me that I would qualify, which I appreciated. After happily checking out and receiving my RM10 cash voucher, I proceeded to the customer service desk to redeem an additional RM10 reward voucher since I was paying with AEON Wallet. However, the staff initially informed me that I wasn't entitled to the reward voucher. I explained that I had just verified my eligibility with a colleague at checkout. The staff then checked with her supervisor, who clarified that the promotion referred to the payment amount rather than the total purchase amount. Since my purchase total was RM120 but, after using RM30 worth of vouchers, I only paid RM90, I did not meet the minimum requirement for the additional reward voucher. I was disappointed with this outcome and emphasized that the colleague who assisted me earlier had confirmed my eligibility. The response I received was unprofessional, implying that the previous staff member hadn't listened properly. I found it concerning that I received conflicting information. Feeling dissatisfied, I left the customer service area and messaged your Facebook page regarding the RM10 voucher I believed I was entitled to. I received a call about my inquiry later that evening. While the caller was professional and explained the terms and conditions patiently, it was nearly 10 PM during the store’s closing hours, which left me puzzled about why a simple matter took several hours to resolve. Overall, I'm unhappy about the lack of consistent information and the inconvenience this...
Read moreWe shopped in Mid Valley Mall's Aeon department store, which is arguably the most well-known. Aeon is the industry leader in best-in-class apparel for all, lifestyle items, and food and beverage; all of this is available under one roof!
This Aeon department store in Midvalley has three floors and sells everything from household items to electronics to clothing for women, men, and children, as well as food. I dare to declare that this Aeon department store is more economical than Metrojaya department store as of this posted dated review.
It is one of my favourite places to shop for groceries and business attire. To begin with, their vegetables, fish, meat, and fruits are constantly fresh and stored on the shelves in an orderly manner. The clothes are all reasonably priced, and most of the time they are on sale, and I'm sure they are stylish and of good quality.
It might get crowded on weekends because everyone is off work, so if you want to avoid crowds, come during the week. The store's popularity stems from the low costs and wide range of things it offers. I can also certify that the shopping carts are in good working order and are steady when in use.
Aeon is the heart of MidValley Mall; without it, I believe the mall would lose its charm, as it attracts a large number of consumers. Store that offers great...
Read moreToday, I had an unfortunate experience at the cashier counter. I forgot to present my member card before the cashier scanned the first item in my trolley. As soon as I realized, I politely requested for the member card to be scanned. However, the cashier informed me that once the first product has been scanned, it is no longer possible to scan the member card.
I found this surprising, so I asked her to cancel all the scanned items so we could start over and apply the member card correctly. She proceeded to cancel all items, and we continued the transaction from the beginning with the member card scanned first.
After completing my purchase, I went to the customer service counter to verify this process. The staff confirmed that canceling all items and restarting the transaction is an acceptable way to apply the member card if it's missed initially.
While I appreciate the cashier following protocol, I feel the situation could have been handled with more flexibility or better communication. I have also taken a picture of the cashier to document this experience, should it be needed for internal review.
I hope this feedback helps improve the customer experience, especially for those who may forget to scan their member cards at...
