FEEKA at The Five — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

Quite disappointed with this Feeka. I’m a regular at the Jalan Mesui one and The Five’s did not meet up to expectations. The food & service was terrible. First off, when placing an order, we asked if the cheeseburger had chicken option and the person at the POS said yes and proceeded to charge us. Only AFTER paying, they checked with the kitchen and they informed us that only beef was available. We had to change to something else but they compensated a drink. However, we placed an order for a grilled cheese sandwich and waited ages for it. Upon going up to the counter to check, we were told that they were out of grilled cheese but they did NOT inform us that it was out of stock. Even though we were not charged, they didn’t even bother to inform us that it was out of stock. The rest of the order arrived but it was so disappointing. The fried chicken is normally in-bone but this time it came like a fillet & I swear its exactly the ones you find from the freezer section. Definitely did not taste or look like they made it themselves 🙃🙃. As for the eggs on toast and Feeka breakfast, it was a strong 2/10. Food were piled onto a plate that was obviously way too small and it was just very messily done.

In terms of the service, it was terrible also. Not sure if they are going through training still but I asked one of the girl working there for the WiFi password and she said she doesn’t know lol. I know Feeka’s password but wanted to confirm if its lowercase or uppercase but she just replied IDK with no courtesy to double check with another team member.

All in all, the whole experience is 1/5. I’d give 0.5/5 if I could. For the price I’m being charged PLUS the 16%, I expect a better experience with the food & service. Shouldve just gone to YBR around...

Came here on a Sunday afternoon. The place was full so we put our name in their ‘waiting list’. The waiting list didn’t have a lot of names and we were next. They said they’ll call us when our table was ready. However coming back after 15 minutes, we found out the people who came after us got to sit down. This made us very angry and frustrated. They didn’t even call us. Apparently they were too busy and no one cared to call or even check the list. Terrible. They then offer us a table after the next table left. This degrades and devalues customers who were willing to wait.

The food was small and tad pricy. Had their Raya haji special which was nasi minyak kismis w daging. The flavour was decent but the amount of meat was very very little. It was NOT worth the price. The chicken looks larger. The ratio was not right at all. Then we saw the table beside us got 1.5x more daging. They’re not consistent. Disappointing. See for yourself in the picture. The beef portion was so small. Even roadside warung gives more. Ridiculous.

Also had the beef sandwich. It was decent but the beef was too tough. Could be better if it’s more tender. It does not come with sides. Expensive for what it was. Lastly, sunny side up eggs were over cooked. Screw up the easiest thing to make. Overall bad service and mediocre food. However it could be due to busy day. Maybe the food and service could be better on less packed days. One of the staff was even telling off other staffs in the restaurant to stop staring and...

SERVICE NEEDS TO IMPROVE

Generally, the service is quite okay BUT just to note a WEIRD OCCURRENCE that I witnessed with one of the servers. Note that while all the servers are generally professional, I did see that one of them was giving ‘special’ attention to one of the patrons who was no doubt a nice looking lady. Here was what I witnessed in the interaction:

1. He asked her about her experience at the cafe and if it was her first time
2. He offered to refill her glass of water (which was funny because the rest of the patrons including myself didn’t get a glass of water ourselves. Instead, it would be up to us to ask for one 🤣)
3. He offered her a loyalty card (never heard of such a thing from any other Feeka restaurants)
4. She gave feedback that the breakfast bowl was good to which he said that they had made it specially for her despite it being past 3pm (I would know because they specifically told me I couldn’t order the same bowl when I arrived at 4pm 🤡)

All in all, it was definitely interesting to see the extent of how friendly and good the customer service can be for some (truly witnessed pretty privilege at its finest). No fault to the lady of course, I’m sure she was just being kind in her interaction. But really, this whole interaction just had me questioning whether flirting or “shooting your shot” should be disguised as customer service. Do the rest of us receive bare minimum service because we are just not good looking enough? 🤣🤣 do...
