Food: 5 Stars The sashimi quality was superb, almost impeccable. Simply so fresh and flavory. Chef's nigiri sushi had spoiled our taste buds. Quite lucky to be able to taste the kamatoro which was rare and not always available. Chawanmushi and agemono did not disappoint us also. All highly recommended.

Environment: 3 Stars The whole place was in dark theme, exuding a serene and soothing vibe. Quite aesthetic and decently decorated. However, certain parts of the facilities were seemingly not maintained properly, for example the toilet door knob was faulty and almost could not be opened from inside.

Service: 5 Stars The waiters and waitresses were attentive and courteous. Chef Loo in particular was both skillful culinarily and humorous in entertaining us. He was very friendly and had no qualms in sharing with us his enormous knowledge about fishes and sashimi, which really enlightened us. Truly enjoyed both his company and his food.

Parking: 4 Stars The restaurant had designated and free parking lots reserved for the customers. However, there were only 2 parking lots available in front of the shop, and the rest of the lots were located quite a walking distance at the back alley.

Location: 5 Stars Located off Old Klang Road and quite easily accessible by a few of the major highways.

Price: 5 Stars The prices on the menu were subject to 10% service charge and 6% SST, and the restaurant did not accept cash payment. Overall the prices were more competitive and reasonable compared with many other Omakase restaurants in the town. It was value for money judging from the quality of the food that they...

Review for Chef Loo’s Omakase

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Chef Loo’s Omakase, and it was a truly remarkable experience. From the moment I sat down, it was clear that Chef Loo is a master of his craft, blending traditional techniques with modern flair to create an unforgettable culinary journey.

Highlights:

Incredible Ingredients: Every course featured the freshest, highest-quality ingredients. The seafood, in particular, was incredibly fresh, with flavors that were vibrant and delicate. You can tell Chef Loo goes above and beyond to source only the best. Artistry in Presentation: Each dish was a work of art, beautifully plated with attention to detail. The colors, textures, and arrangement were stunning, making the experience as visually satisfying as it was delicious. Chef’s Expertise: Chef Loo’s skill and knowledge of Japanese cuisine were evident in every bite. He masterfully crafted each dish to highlight the natural flavors of the ingredients, adding just the right touches of seasoning and creativity. His explanations of each course made the experience even more engaging and personal. Unique Flavor Combinations: What really stood out were the unique flavor combinations that Chef Loo introduced. Each dish had a surprising element, whether it was a subtle twist on a classic or an unexpected pairing that worked harmoniously. Personalized Experience: Chef Loo took the time to understand my preferences and tailored the meal accordingly. It felt incredibly personal, and I appreciated the thoughtful approach to...

Valentine’s menu - From the moment the first dish was presented, it was clear that this restaurant is dedicated to the art of Japanese cuisine. The attention to detail, exquisite plating, and high-quality ingredients made for an unforgettable dining experience.

The sushi selection was incredibly fresh, each piece carefully crafted with a perfect balance of flavors. The shrimp nigiri with caviar was a standout, offering a delicate yet rich taste. The crispy fried fish dish was light and expertly fried, complemented by a variety of condiments that enhanced the natural sweetness of the fish.

One of the most visually stunning dishes was the beautifully arranged foie gras and seafood platter, which was almost too pretty to eat. The use of edible flowers, intricate plating, and luxurious ingredients showcased the chef’s dedication to both taste and presentation.

Finally, the sashimi box was a masterpiece. The combination of premium cuts of fish, garnishes, and a delicate touch of gold leaf made it feel like a true luxury dining experience. The glass case added an extra element of sophistication, making the dish feel like a hidden treasure being unveiled.

A huge compliment to the chef for their impeccable skill and creativity, as well as to the service team for their warm hospitality and seamless presentation. Every dish was a work of art, and the flavors were just as exceptional as the visuals. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an extraordinary Japanese...
